That link appears to be dead. Well, for me, anyway.

Hi guys. Greetings from Malta.

Does anyone know what the interesting looking shaft drive car with red alloy bits is.

It's on the Yokomo page. I just wonder! I can't read the titles.

regards

Joe from sunny Malta.

Why is there nothing about the show on RC car actions site? Isn't it kind of their job to be on this stuff.

I believe it is actually from Alex Racing, thats what was said on the Yokomo Forum, that the last 3 pics are from Alex Racing.
Not sure but the car looks like their Barracuda....

Things I noticed...

Nice pics of the TB Evo 3 on the temjoybox site - looks like a nicer version of the TC3. Tamiya also showing the Sanyo 3300HV's, in a stick pack (I seem to remember that when 1700 SCE's first appeared, tamiya's EX pack was the first one on the shelves - I'd never seen so many tamiya packs in race cars)

Kyosho'd off-road mini-z's are looking nice - cool track laid out for them as well. PT Cruiser shell is ugly though. GT/Stadium truck hybrid is "interesting". Two Development KX-one's - one with the 3 and 3 batteries, another is really different - with the spur on the opposite side?. Are kyosho going for a speed record? There's an 18-cell pan car there.

Sanwa have a new 2-stick radio on show - don't know if it's a mid-range unit (which would be great news for us Brits), or an Exzes replacement - name is blurry. Updated M8 as well (i think)

Futaba have a range of very sexy looking chargers and accesories on on display - one looks full function, in the Protrak/Turbo 35 mould.

KO have an updated EX5 Master S with, would you believe it, an "ABS Active Blake System" (spelling is correct!). Also on display, a 1/10th "Mini" car, with a vintage Toyota Starlet (I think) shell.

On the pro-s-futaba link above... (which has some better pictures)

This page has some good pics of the new futaba charger in action (very nice).

Also, the sanwa two-stick radio I mentioned above - a better pic, and it's called the Gemini 2 - this could be a new mid-range unit - great news for the UK! Plus the M8.

This page has got Yokomo showing off their shiny graphite chassis parts for the TC, plus some hub carriers and bulkheads - I assume the geometry is different on them.

Also a very clever tyre warmer system, and some new shells, including a truck tractor unit, and something silver that looks American Chryslery to me.

Dear Rccarracer/johnbull,
It is called Barracuda R2 from Alex Racing in Japan.
Did you notice a size of pinion gear? It is a new electric "2" speed
machine due out Dec. in Japan.

Not sure if I like the 2-speed, but I have always been a fan of Alex Racing, especially of the CE4 (if you have one for sale I'll buy it), which I was lucky enough to drive in Japan when I was there in July....It was a mates in Japan...
Like the Barracuda aswell, this looks nice. Is there any other changes to the original Barracuda?
