Default Anyone know William Marino! Deal gone bad for me.

Some of you guys may have seen my post where I was trading a high end tablet for a truggy. Well this so called William Marion text me and had a new 2.0 b with all new servos and a os motor also. We agreed on this deal sat and sun as well. Sunday night we verified address info and agreed to ship out Monday and provide tracking info. As a man of my word I was at USPS open time and mailed item and text the tracking info. Once I sent the tracking I never heard another word. He had replies right away since we started talking Thursday. Guys this is a 1500 dollar tablet. So if anyone knows this guy please help me out. Not hearing a word in 2 days something screwed up is going on. He lives in Bryan Texas. So any helpful info is greatly appreciated. Guess these are risk you take but I work too hard for my money to get screwed over. Thanks to a new bud on rctech he helped me out getting this up. Not naming any names but thanks dude! Be careful guys who you deal with. I'm out 1500 bucks from this. Thanks again for any help!!!

I asked also. He does not know. He sent text and not pm. The only thing bad about communication is that user name is un known. Better off talking through pm's here.

In that case, he may not even be a member of this site. He may have read the ad as a Guest.

Good luck with the P.O.

Edit:

Well, at least he is "real" and is actually into RC. Here's a post he made on another RC forum several months ago:

http://rc.runryder.com/helicopter/t669762p1/

Here is his post activity on that forum (as recently as 16 days ago):

You may want to try contacting him on that forum.

Good luck...

Yet another example of why you should never trade anything unless you know the other party.

Sorry for your loss.

Try contacting member MrgGoo. The name is similar as to the one on the Heli site, both spend most of their time in the Classified section and both list the Protos Heli (here, for sale, on the Heli site as part of the fleet). MrgGoo has a good trader feedback rating here, so maybe there is a glitch in communication.

Good luck...

+1

you have his mailing information notify the police agency of that area i think that will be a lot better than posting on rctech since we have no clue as to what his username is.

I was giving him until noon today to make it right. After that Im
Filing a report. I've printed all the Communication between us also verified with legal authorities that the address is registered to Him and I assume his wife. Was able to get pictures of address and all also. It's 11:47 am. Still not a word and post office said it was too late to recall pkg as its delivered today so they were no help. Hey thanks to whoever posted that link on his other post! I appreciate the help from y'all. Keep you guys posted.

i would let the local police take care of it , unless you know his identity here on rctech , there is nothing that we can do about it

If it is MrgGoo on here, he has an ad up with an 8ight that includes an OS engine which he lists as "sold" now. I assume he sent you pics to see if it's the same one in this ad?
