Phillips screws aren't so bad if you use the right size driver (biggest tip that will fit in the head). Most M3 screws I've seen need a Number 2 Phillips to get them tightened without jumping - but too many RCers use a Number 1 which just rounds off the screws and doesn't get them tight.

YR4-Dude do you know if a kim small servo saver will work with the KX, i was trying to set up the steering and align the car on the Hudy and it never centers, the servo saver is messed up (oem Kyosho) i think i will either get a kim or a tamiya depending on whats instock then run the center point steering from the Xpress.

I will bring my KX saturday to race and i hope i don't destroy it. BTW i will try your class sport stock i know for a fact i am in the B-MAIN!!! HAHAHAHAH

I want to state that Twin-Kyle and I are two distinctly different entities.

Please DO NOT confuse me with him eventhough our opinions are similar.

BTW I still have my T2

5thScale - the offset on the servo saver is different on the Kyosho than the Kimbrough. The offset can be adjusted by "shimming" and re-angling the servo mount. On mine, I use the Hitec 225MG so I have some room to wiggle on the mount.

Now that I am rethinking my setup, I am going to ditch those heavy plastic sidepods for the thin FRP sideplates and run a QC2. Going lightweight all the way....... Now if I can find Ti screws before Saturday. Hmmm.....

dude i am box stock with the the steel screws, going to run those plastic side plates but i have a horrible tweak on the chassis since it sat in the closet for so long on it's side. Any way it's complete and RTR lets see how it will hold up....

I having too much fun just working on my KX. What new Kyosho car???????
At this rate there will be a TC-5 before there will be a TF-5

For all you guys out there with cash ready, its okay, just put it in the 6 month CD. By the time is matures the car might get here.

Besides, I think Kyosho is waiting for all the disatisfied T2 customers to build up before releasing the new car.

Okay one last request before the release of the car.......

Please Mr. Big Time Kyosho, please release the car with included graphite battery strap and oneway diff. And please have optional hubs available upon release of the kit. Thank you muy muy gracioso.

Hey, you were a no show. What happened? Got mine dialed. No sways, some firm springs front and some med firms in rear. I just might race this car from now on and have my fully pimped T2 as a back-up.

yeah i had too much house work to do and by the time i finished i had no more time to play...

Any who... are you running double diff or one way? i have rebuilt my KX 2 times now got rid of a massive tweak since the CF plates was stored in the closet on it's side. Ended up taking it apart and baking it for an hr then clamp it down to make it flat. Tweak is not off by .5mm vs a huge 2mm.

What springs, ride height, and gearing have you figured out for this car?

Here's my set-up

Oneway in the front
No-sways
Some firm springs in front
Some med-firm springs in rear.
About 2deg toe in rear.
About 2-3 neg camber in rear
About 1 neg camber in front

And of course, a good set of Sorex's will help a lot.

And if I can A-main with this set-up, who needs the new chassis???

Btw when will the list be available on the parts for the older tourers? Is Kyosho bring them in? What happened to the unsold stock from Tower?
