Yeah
The cartoonish part is why they are cool. These were designed to be a fun car, and allready we are looking for performance/realistic oriented bodies
But, imagine racing around with one of those neat little bodies? Definately cool
I wonder if the HPI mini bodies fit these 1/12 tourers?

The 1/12 sedan is really cool, but I dont see why they are making a 1/18, the class just doesnt seem to be thriving. No offense to anyone in the class, but it is definately boring to watch, and they just dont get enough speed on the track... As for the 1/12 class, I can't wait until I get my hands on one, those look awesome

LOL, I just picked up a you 12th scaler....i'll get the xray after the hype dies and they are on the 2nd hand market =)
1/18 and micros are very popular in Europe and Japan, which is another big market for Xray....In the US, it will have limited success, but overseas, it should be a hit.

I'm a die hard TC racer. I'll race my 1/10 scale TCs any chance I get. However, I fail to understand the point of 1/12 or 1/18 scale TC. What does 1/12 scale TC bring to the hobby? IMHO, 1/12 scale TC is just an excuse to start a class that is merely slightly different from existing racing classes. So I am a bit stumped as to why anybody would rush out and buy any 1/12 scale TC stuff. What am I overlooking?

Dynamic_e, the HPI mini bodies probably wont fit the Yok and the Xray 1/12th chassis. The HPI mini have a different size wheel, so the wheel openings are smaller than full size touring car tires and wheels. So to make it work you would have to really cut out the wheel wells and that would probably ruin the look of the body. I am going to try it though, I have a mini pro and I am going to see how it does with a set of full size tires and wheels on it.

I'll be at the Hobby Vision convention next weekend working the Serpent USA booth. I'll take a hard look at the new Xray cars and take a pic or two. I'll keep you guys informed of it's popularity at the show.
