Pit_dad-- I finally got one of the e-mails. Glad you liked it. I will see you Sunday!

Just wanted to give props to all the guys that helped work on the track recently at Pegasus. A lot of back breaking effort went into tweaking the layout to something that we think will be alittle more fun for all. There were a few Banzai drivers out there helping to ensure the first round of the JBRL is as good as we can make it!

Hi guys,

is anybody using the SP Gt Speedo?

Got mine today and need setups for 13.5 motors.

Until today no homologated motor available here in Germany

Have a nice weekend

Ebi- I would go over to the speed passion thread (onroad section and look at page 2. There is some good info on how to setup the speedo with the motor. From what I have read you will want to be on the higher side of the "timing" setting with a 13.5 and you will need a lot of big pinion gears!

Hi Banzai family! I have a question about armature winds and figured who else better to ask but the true brushed racers I run all off-road mod classes and am currently still using decent GP3300 and GP3700 batteries from a couple of years ago and most people I would talk to were running single and double winds for being a little "punchier" back then. Fast forward to today with 4200+ nimh's and lipos and many banzai racers are now running triples/quads/quints/hex winds. I know every driver is different, but is this to smooth out the punchiness of the current batteries for a more consistent powerband or are there other preferences in mind (temperature, comm wear, etc)? I know I will always be slightly down on punch due to using older gen. batts, but with that said, should I stick with lower winds? Thanks for any help, and your local support at pegasus has greatly encouraged me to stick with my brushed setup and go BANZAI instead of brushless.

I just got back from the TSC in Dallas. I ran the sportsman stock buggy class which is an all 13.5 class. I qualified 5th in the A. A1 I screwed up on the first lap and punted a guy so I pulled over to let him back and by and let too many people by, so ended up in last. I worked my way back up to 4th, so I wasted a top 3 run. Round 2 I was battling for 4th or 5th and had the leader behind us. I tried to give the leader room and stay in the fight and came out on the short end. I ended up 7th that run. The final A the win was already tied up. I took the lead and lead for I think about half the main and had trouble with lap traffic and a few mistakes. I ended up salvaging a 3rd and got 5th overall. The car was great, and I drove the best I have in awhile. I was a little down on power, but I think I needed to go up a tooth and maybe give the motor a tad more timing. Overall it was a fun weekend and im looking forward to racing again sooner hopefully than later.

TEAM GUYS: YOU WERE AWESOME!!!!!!!

We had a GREAT time even with the weather! Saw so many
old friends, and lots of new ones!

Jeremy Felles decided to "test" our new BL system in the 4WD
class. What better way than at a "big" race! There were
250 entries, and I think there was 4 or 5 heats in the 4wd Mod
class. We also tested it all day Saturday. As you can see,
it was a hugh success, Jeremy finished 2nd!!!!!!! With Jeremy
driving the Hot Bodies factory ride, it was really fun!!

THANK YOU FEZ!!

Tennison Willis also tested the new BL Motor! As you can see
he finished 7th in Mod Truck! THANK YOU TEN!!

I will be posting more today after I've had 2 pots of coffee!

THANK YOU ALL FOR SUCH AN AWESOME 1ST JBRL SERIES RACE!

Remember, if I forgot you, PLEASE post!

Thanks, me too. It was a nice change to be competitive and not frustrated. I didnt even plug in my transponder to practice, I just drove and enjoyed it. I have to thank the whole table crew, we kept laughing the whole weekend. I drove a t4 for the first time in practice with a 6.5. It was super fun. If I wasnt rolling hobo this weekend I would have tried to run mod truck as well.

Default "Battle at the Beach" was awesome!

Mom,

Jason and I had a blast at the Battle this weekend!

He placed 4th in the A_main in stk buggy and 4th in the B_main 19t Truck.

The KD-19 ran awesome, we just had a little traction problem in the quals but everyone, including one of your men Marcus, helped him and I out. He had it hooking up great on the final qual on Saturday. So much so he knocked off nearly 3 seconds on his best lap time and grabbed an extra lap on Sunday in the B-main.

In stk buggy, well what can I say that darn EVADER sneaks up on everyone! !
He run just .4 seconds slower on his best lap compared to the truck and actually ran a lap better in it then the truck. He's more consistent with the buggy.
The best news is, I think a few of the other buggy guys have finally talked him into having dad here buy him a BK-2 or CR.

Anyways I just wanted to let you know how much fun we had at our first big event and now we have our eyes set on the Region 4 regionals at the end of April.

Thanks again and glad to read other Banzai folks had a great weekend as well across the country.

-Drew and Jason

Glad to see all the Banzai drivers doing well this year

I've finally found a new track to race at - so this summer is going to be doing the roundy-round thing in the dirt (i.e., dirt oval )

So I'm looking forward to giving some respectable showings for Team Banzai - I've had this lonely KD19 sitting around just WAITING for the right time, looks like this summer its gonna get a work out

Hey Mom/Scott - I think I asked them before, but what kind of springs would you use on a CP for mod TC??

thanks

Anyone else notice that their subscription emails aren't working anymore? or is it just me?
