novak gtb/4.5 system
has anyone experienced magnet came off the shaft on the novak 4.5 velocity motor?

i think my 4.5 came with the sintered rotor since the rotor looks the same as the optional sintered rotor,it doesnt have the black carbon kevlar wrapped around the magnet or 4.5 just doesnt have that thing wrapped around?

robo: i think the new novak brushless motors dubbed the pro series, from the stock 13.5 to the fastest 3.5, now have ribbed cans (for your pleasure ) and sintered rotors

In our local hobby shop the only way you can get a sintered rotor is to purchase the optional one or buy the whole system that say it has one in it.

Uh-huh... In MY local hobby shop, we pay the equivalent of $160USD for our Novak motors.. And to add insult to injury. They don't even import the sintered rotor for replacement as I found out recently. Helpful huh!

angry, just order it from any of the us domestic retailers.. they will sell it to you.. it comes with a new front end bell as the bearing is bigger i think... i don't believe the problem is rampant, but i have heard of it and they sell a lot of motors... the new line that has "R" after the wind all have the new sintered rotors and endbells... i think... like i want a new 10.5R

LoL - thanks for the advice.
I run the 4.5R and the 3.5R... I"m in no hurry to pick up another rotor now. Just bought the 3.5 and I'll probably just end up swapping the rotor out of the 3.5 into the 4.5 if needed. (My 4.5 is one of the first gen ones. The ORIGINAL wrap, not the black rotor.)
It's just tough - it's no win. Unless a bunch of people start sucking up the higher prices, local prices and availability won't improve. But it's just so hard when you guys are paying 90USD for the same thing..

i totally understand.. i run a 5.5 old gen, and 4.5 new gen, and love them both.. you definately need to order from stateside stores, or make a friend here to order for you and ship.... take your old one and send it to novak, i GUARANTEE they will just send you a nice new one.. great customer service i have experienced.. good luck..
