i believe for the R kits, it is a standard part, for a certain numbr of kits atleast.

to the original mtx4 kit, they are option parts.

the R came stock with option parts, thats why its the R

and also an fyi, my mtx4 manual had a typo on the side pulley assembly page, it states the pulleys are 23t and 24t, instead of 24t, 25t. i have had my kit for about 2 years, and i just noticed this

Anyone know what the weight savings is on the MSR light weight brake pulley?
What about dog bones in the rear. My CVD'S are all but worn out. I have a set of brand new dogbones that I never used. Any issues with them poping out.

i actually measured the pulleys and they were very close in weight to me. call Cwhits in MD, i bet they can pull a set off the wall and tell you

i hear dogbones in the rear give you more traction some how, and they are fine if you use the rubber o rings, but a good smack on the wall can pop them out depending on the set up. i use cvds only just because i am a bit of a bruiser

Yes, I've heard the same of the rear dog bones giving more traction in the rear....but you don't have to worry too much on popping them out in the rear.

I apologize for being random, but I was wondering if anyone knew the dimensions of the MTX4 two speed input shaft (T0232). Im mainly interested in its diameter. Furthermore, has anyone converted their Mugen MTX4 or MTX3 into single speed rather then two speed? Its a little project im working on. Thanks in advance.

I would think that without the o'rings in the diff cups, the dog bones would be more likely to pop out in an accident.

Ive had no problems with dog bones in the rear coming out, I use the o rings (In the diff ouitdrives)which I am sure help as they take up the play. (Alternatively use a very short piece of fuel tube)

I installed my dog bones in the rear. I have a problem with using the Team magic setup gigs with dog bone axles. Too much play left between the gig plate and outer bearing, I have to use the optional washer (to-165) which I believe are discontinued. But I still will use the dog bones. thanks for all the advice.
