Does anyone know where I can get alloy or Titanium screws (perferably a kit) for a TA04R???

Has anyone used the Integy/Eagle Chassis? Rear Arm mounts?

Is there any weight benifit of using alloy bits and peices ?

I am trying to upgrade My car for 2004 so I can be a bit more competitive and dropping a bit of weight of the chassis and adding a bit more tuneability is where I am looking... I also want a bit more flexibilty in battery mounting

I would rather use the Aluminum Arm mounts by Tamiya, its much better since you have 2 choices for the rear. They are great on my TAO4-R. The front Alm. Susp. Blocks does not offer any change or advantage in set up but looks cool!!!!!! If you have a little to spare, the SQUARE rear cariers and knuckle arms for the TBevo3 are great for the O4-R and are a direct fit. YOu can achieve 0-3degrees of toe in in the rear with that Option.

For the Ti Screws- Stick with Tamiya Ti Screws, I did! Although any other Ti Screws will do, Its Just to bad that Tamiya does not have a screw kit. A little more on the pocket to get the Tamiya Ti Screws for the Car.

And ofcourse-Ti TurnBuckles, either from Tamiya or Lunsford

Also, the SSG shock tower and upper deck is also a good upgrade for 2004. You just have to change to shorter springs, captured ball ends is also a good choice.

PS: of course alm is a little heavy
TIP: if you are going to get the SSG upper deck use it on top of the regular Carbon upper deck to make the chassis stiffer!

Glad to know they are still a few who is sticking withthe O4-R

Peace and Happy Racing!!

SQUARE offers a Ti Screw kit for the TAO4-R www.rc-square.com
and you can order them at www.rainbowten.co.jp I got most of my stuff from there

Iow what doe the suspension blocjk offer for tune-ability?
The TRF Suspension Blocks offers additional .5 and 1 degree of toe in. Together with the SQUARE rear cariers for the TBevo3, you can achieve a total of 3 degrees of toe in for the rear.

Basically the TRF version has different shock mounting positions and the alum susp. blocks + flourine coated shocks

No.! I think you can purchase a TA04-TRF Front Stabilizer set. I do have a few friends who did it on there own. I think it just needs some creativity.

Hey everyone. Lots of TA04 option parts for sale at good prices. http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...850#post616850

Thanks for finding it for me!

TA04 - R/S/Pro/SS/Tuned/TRF . . . .
Hi guys!! There are the 414's and the 415's now th Evo4, I know it's an old car but it's the one car that I would not sell from my many kits.

I was looking thru the pages and could not find the TA04 Thread, there were many other questions realted to this chassis. SO I thought I'd make a new thread and keep it permanent!

I just finished rebuilding mine! Woohoooooooo!!!!

Hope there are still a lot of Hobbyist using the chassis!!

Peace and Happy Racing!!!!

What servo saver do most of you guys use? I've been using a Kimbrough with pretty decent results, but I just upgraded from a JR to a better Futaba servo and I was wondering if I should stick with Kimbrough or if there is something better outhere.
By the way I know this thread is not as popular as it used to be, but the TA04 still rules, just last week I was pleased to lay the smack down to several TC3s. There's fancier, better cars outhere, but I still love my 04.

I use an Xray servo horn. Direct link baby. The material in the xray horn is soft enough to strip before the servo gears in a huge accident. I've been running them for the last year and have only stripped one arm running Futaba S9550 servos. Of course, if you are accident prone, a Kimbrough servo saver will work just fine.

Default i agree

the 04 still kicks some butt! the thread is not that popular anymore, because the car is so easy to tune that no oneis asking anymore!

I also use a Fut 9550, with the tamiya servo saver. pretty good so far major crashes and the servo, servo saver is still okay!

Peace and Happy Racing!

Thanks guys I switched to the Futaba S3305 (great servo by the way). I'm not a frequent crasher but, better safe than sorry, I guess. I think I'll stick with the Kimbrough.

Default 414 converted to tub chassis

Can I convert a 414 to a gt2 legal car..ie swap out lower graphite chassis for tub?

It looks like it would be cheaper to do this than upgrade a ta04r/trf.

To my knowledge, there is no tub chassis for the 414 series of cars. the mounts on the TA04 chassis are different for the bulkheads. I think your better off buying a TRF or 04R....
