Just pick up a nearly brand new SERPENT M2 CHALLENGER SPECIAL EDITION with a SX-15 EVO 4 MS, but the old owner don't have the manual. Anyone know where to get one in PDF format.

David, once again you are taking things way too personal. You are right, touring car bodies (or something like GT or Trans-Am bodies) on 235mm cars would be very cool, but this discussion has already taken place. Every time I mention getting away from lola bodies the response is lola bodies handle better and the engine runs cooler. We've been through this. Beating a dead horse doesn't get you anywhere. It is a good idea. Not enough people want to do it. Let's move on.

I will admit I made that last post before I knew about the Porsche Cup idea. I think it's a great idea. There's a conversation about the popularity of 1/8 and the suggestion is for a spec class. I don't see how a spec class will help considering it has been tried before and failed. If I had a guarantee that Edison or NERCAR was going to run the Porsche Cup class and 20-30 people were going to run it, I would buy that instead of an 1/8 scale. You and I both know that's not going to happen.

The class has died at least 5 time in the last ten years, and every other year someone tries to re-animate it.

For what?

There's one lousy car left on the market and they don't even produce parts for it anymore.....

Our new MWS director is going to the Worlds in a few weeks. He will be checking with the Serpent people at that event about how serious they are about the Porsche Cup concept. Talking with Ted Hammer an hour ago, I think we will see some effort put forth to include things like this in races like the GLC. The MWS would be perfect for this. Let's be optimistic about the possibilities and see what transpires.

David...I raced with you at the Chicago MWS A Main the past Sunday (yes, you need to slow down a little bit, 3-4 laps win over the 2nd place is not fun...) and really looking forward for the Porsche or Volvo CUP (I really like the Volvo body) at the next year GLC or the whole MWS next season, I still have my 835 and Impact 02, not going to sell them....I rather let them rust.

I was thinking of running 235's next year (in addition to 1/8 of course), but if they're going sedan---Forget it! We already have sedan class, don't need another. Besides, they're GAY!

Ron....like you, for 235mm and 1/8th, there is no reason for me to run any bodies beside the LOLA, there are no reason to do that....but about the Porsche challenge or so, it is just a series, just like the EURO TRUCK series...running 235mm is just FUN and EASY, if a group of ppl run a series with TRUCK or 911 body, I am all for it...

Ron and Jimmy, you know next season at Leisure (hopefully) should be fun if we can get around 5-6 of those 235mm, then it will attack more ppl buying those 235mm.........just saw couple used 235mm on ebay with 15 motor for around $300 out the door.....

theres no point in running 235 4wd lola. Hence the reason it has literally died. everyone stepped to 1/8th. at least with 235 sedan there is enough segregation between 200mm and 235 sedan to be meaningfull.
Theres been alot of talk about a spec 1/8th class. The answer is not a spec 1/8th motor. the answer is a 15 big block in a 1/8th car as was tested a few years ago.
that gives 2 distince sedan classes and 2 distinct 4wd vds classes and in 1/8th you can use the same car.

you do know you can run a sedan body right now in the outlaw class in MWS. A parma proton is almost as good as a vds.

if your looking for somthing more challenging than the touring class go for 235mm class they rule, great handling, speed,acceleration and loads of FUN its still cheap and well worth the money
