If you have not seen the videos on Youtube from the "Psycho Nitro Blast" this past weekend....you really need to check it out. They ran a 1-hour main on that track!! Just search for "psycho Nitro Blast" on Youtube if you are interested.
Is that the kind of track we are thinking about?!

I know someone that went to that. They started qualifying at 8:00 am. My buddies first qual was at 11:00 am, his second was at 7:00 pm, and his third qual was at 4:30 am Sunday morning. He overslept and missed his third qual and ended up going home as his main wasnt going to be until 9:00pm Sunday
He said the 24 hr practice killed the track. It was blown out when he got there around 5:00 pm Friday and they never did any maintenance all weekend. He said people were really grumpy lol

Huh, I heard the opposite, lol. Russell Jones from Racefactor Industries went, he really liked it a lot. (But he likes rough tracks.) He said the jumps were great because they didn't deteriorate at all, so you could still clear everything, even once the track was blown out. He said the ventilation was an issue, to the point where cars' tunes were all over the place with all the fumes/smoke they were sucking through.

i know the track has a 25,000 dollar ventilation system and it move over 1,000,000 cubic feet of air per minute i met the owner while back and he offer all of this information and looks like there will be RV parking about 1 block a way but they are still working on that one this will be a great race even if roy comes just kidding roy {who is a little bigger than the ninj}

Well guys it is time that I try and get you up to speed on the Lunsford Gas Blast! First of all go to www.lunsfordgasblast.com for the latest details, I update information daily! The facility is about 15 mi west of downtown Portland on hwy 26, Hindsight MX. www.hindsightmx.com It is a 1 acre indoor motocross facility! you can expect to see some of the biggest elevation change of all the tracks you have been to! It will be roughly 150' x 150'. Here is a list of what will make this event unique:
- This will be a true spectator event! Radio promotions 2 weeks prior, live DJ on site!
- 1 race director for the racers (fm broadcast and RClive on-line), one public announcer for the spectators (PA system)
- projection screen
- Adds in magazines (xtreme, and rc car)
- Product demos on separate test track
- manufacturer booths
- Brushless buggy and truggy classes
- news coverage as well as possible TV broadcast.
Cash prizes for the pro class! Prize package and sponsorships for the sportsman classes! Pro drivers from X-Ray, CEN, Trinity, Losi, Associated and more! Think of this as a warm up to the NCT!

If I knew I'd tell ya. What I can tell you is that I was just out there tonight and the traction will be awsome. The dirt is a very dark brown clay base. It packs very well and should hold up like no other track ever has. I'm guessing that a holeshot or bowtie type of tire will be the ticket.
