novak 3.5 or castle 7700
im looking to run the novak ballistic 3.5 (105000kv) in my xray t2. i organically ran my 7700 but im looking for a more overall power. top speed and acceleration. i dont race just bash my car lol. can anyone help me if it would make sense to keep the 7700 or invest in the 3.5. im looking to run a strong 2s battery maybe a 40c

3.5 is sensored. 7700 is sensorless.
a 3.5, 4.5 or even a 5.5 with boost and turbo will be much faster than the 7700kv. You won't get very long run times though. Low turn motors draw a lot of power.
There's a handful of ESCs that can handle lower than 6 turn motors. Some say they can, but will actually overheat too quickly.
What ESC are you using?

Thanks for the help. My plan is to run a mamba max pro esc. And a gen ace 40amp 5000 mah lipo. I have a 7700 in my xray it's good but I want more speed or rpms. I don't want to hear my
Mamba up because the low end suffers. That's where I thought a low gearing and a faster motor will help. The motor runs at 10500kv

If you add boost to a 3.5, it will probably be a fair bit faster than a 7700kv. You'd need a "castle link" and whatever software they use to update the Mamba's settings from your computer. I think castle calls boost "cheat mode"
I can't say I know anything about the Mamba line of ESCs. Capabilities, boost settings, etc., so I can't honestly tell you if it can even handle a 3.5. I'd look it up for you, but I find castle's website too painful to look at.

lol yeah its pretty painfull. but dont you think that the 3.5 would be a hugh increase compared to the 7700. the 3.5 claims 10500kv and im planing on runing like a 60c rated battery
