Default v spec vs xz b

why are some of the pro drivers still using the old speed v spec or in some cases reverting from the new speed xz back to the v spec?
curious cause someone is offering me a brand new v spec speed for a very good price.

From what I was told at the Track in Japan was the design/function of the carb.

thanks!
but if that's the only problem why not use the old carb on the new xz?
i've had v specs and i'm currently running the speed xz, it tunes a bit differently but it still works.

Yes that is what some of the Japanese guys do they slap on the old style on the new speed. I guess most of the people went back with the old style carb because they were used to it, but your guess is a good as mine. I am an American trying to understand the Japanese and it ain't that easy to decipher their explaination.
