So this is what I just pulled the trigger on:
1) Reedy Sonic 540 Mach 2 17.5 Spec Brushless Motor
2) HobbyWing XERUN-120A-V3.1 ESC (1/10, 1/12 Car), Black
3) Hobbywing Multifunction LCD Program Box for ESC Programming (3-function)
4) Savox SC-1258TG Super Speed Titanium Gear Standard Digital Servo
5) Thunder Power RC TP610C-ACDC Multi-Chemistry AC/DC Charger/Discharger/Cycler with Balancing System
That combined with the B5M Kit and the Spektrum DX4r Pro and all I need now is batteries...
I wanted a good ESC that I can run mod with too eventually... So I went with the V3.1 not SPEC.
What do you think? Did I make the right choices?

The stock spec is basically the same as the regular 3.1 only it is 100a vs 120a but it still can run down to a 5.5t which the regular 3.1 runs down to a 5.5t with 2s lipo off road the only major difference is the stock spec only ways like 40 grams bc it has a plastic case which is great for stock, were the regular 3.1 weighs like 90 grams bc it has an aluminum case. But the 3.1 is still a great choice just making sure you realize the differences I know it is very misleading to call it "Stock Spec"
Yes for 2s lipo off road, which I know doesn't make sense but just click "Specifications" compare them http://www.falconsekido.com/products...ock-v3-1-black

I have been wanting to try the inline setup with the battery inline also, what are you guys doing to the setup vs. inline electronics with the battery sideways?
As far as shock oils, springs, etc...I have inline electronics with battery sideways now, 32.5 Front, 30 rear, all Asc white springs.

The stock spec even has all of the timing and boost functions of the V3.1. I almost didn't buy the stock spec at first because I assumed it was a locked blinky speed controller.

I killed a BEC in a Viper VTX10R ESC using the Savox SC-1257TG (sister sevo to 1258TG).
YMMV...

What would be another good option for a servo then? Also I might go to the V3.1 Stock Spec instead since it is just about the same thing sans 20 amps and a aluminum case.

I run the 1257Tg, a better option than the 1258, with my Orion R10.1 pro and haven't had any issues.
Yea I haven't had any glitch problems with savox/specktrum stuff since running the Tekin gen 2 stuff and using the DSM2 receivers.
