Welcome to the Trains and Lanes Hobbies 2017 Outdoor Offroad Racing Thread. We would like to thank everyone for your continued support of our offroad racing program and we are looking forward to another great season!!!

Please check this post first for the latest, most accurate schedule information. This post will be updated with the most current information and schedule changes throughout the 2017 racing season.





Trains and Lanes races offroad on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the season.

Please be sure to check the schedule below for actual race dates and times, as we do not race every weekend.



Our racing surface is mainly clay material and the dimensions are approximately 110' x 230'. The driver's stand is 24' long with a handicap ramp and kick-out for those racing with us that need it. There is an onsite hobby shop, water, port-o-potty, 120v electric, and air compressor.

Please bring your own table, chair, EZUps, extension cords, etc.

There is plenty of room to accomodate racers with RV's and trailers (Sorry, no electric / water / sewer hook-ups)

We use the newest MyLaps RC4 Decoder and RC Scoring Pro Software. Please be sure your personal transponder is RC4 compatible. We do not have rental transponders at this time.

Practice

Fee: $5.00 per day

The track is normally available for practice during business hours on non-race days. Please sign-in and pay in the store before beginning your practice session.

2017 Offroad Club Race Fees and Format

Entry Fee:

Club Race - $20.00 1st Class/ $15.00 Additional -
Points Series - $20.00/class
CASH and Special Races - $25.00 / class

- 1/8 E-Buggy Expert
- 1/8 E-Buggy
- 1/8 E-Truggy
- 1/8 Nitro Buggy
- 1/8 Nitro Truggy
- 4WD Mod SCT
- Novice (Run whatcha brung)

STANDARD RACE FORMAT:
*"CASH" and "Special Race" format TBA*
*Subject to change based on turnout or weather*
*One complete round of qualifying is considered a complete race day if racing is called due to weather*

<100 Entries = (3) 5 Minute Qualifying Rounds
>100 Entries = (2) 6 Minute Qualifying Rounds
*All Sunday races (2) 6 min Qualifying Rounds
10 Car to Mains with 2 Bump-Ups (12 Cars Total)
25 Minute Nitro Amain
12 Minute Nitro Bmain
6 Minute Nitro Lower Mains
10 Minute 1/8 Ebuggy Amains
8 Minute 1/8 Ebuggy Bmain
6 Minute 1/8 Ebuggy Lower Mains
8 Minute Etruggy Amain

CLUB/CASH RACE TIMES:
Practice Opens: 7:00am
Sign Up: 8:00-9:30am
Track Closes: 9:30am
Racing Begins: 10am sharp

Cool, I went and got a buggy this year. I see you are still saying 4wd SC as a class and I know that there has not been a following the last few years. Do you think there will be one this year? Just wondering if i should set it up for a big track this year or keep it set up for the smaller tracks that i visit from time to time.

Yea I wouldn't count on it with 4wd SC at least on the 1/8 scale tracks here Pitstop raceway and Family Hobbies always has a turnout for them .

Yes, 4x4 SCT has pretty much become extinct, but there are some guys that say they want to run them this year.

We are going to offer the class for the opener and see if they show up before removing it from the program entirely.

If you know guys that have them and want to run then make sure they bring em out for the opener to keep the class alive.
