WOW.. that's what I said once I switched from R-1 to Helios, on 27 band, since I figured all my crystals would work. Another local guy is using Helios with JR synthesized Rx on 75 band and it works fine. Only thing I could think of was JR 27 band is single conversion, and KO 27 band is dual conversion?

Default HSR servo's...

I have heard that if you're not going to use the KO digital servos, the next best things are Futaba's. They (KO) told me that they have found servo centering problems with the digital hitec servos and warned me against using them.

The best digital servo IMO for TC is the Futaba S9550 low profile. It gives you all the performance at a third the size and weight. Check the numbers. I have two of them and if I had more cars I would have more them. I won't run them in off road but for TC I think nothing can beat its size/weight to its performance numbers. As for the price increase of the Helios I got one word.....CHRISTMAS....The US economy revolves around it. Did you know more than half of all retailers make half there yearly sales during the last three months of the year....CHRISTMAS where did we go wrong....It was never to be about the gifts it was to always be about CHRIST....
Anyway Hope all of your Holidays are blessed.

Far as price increase.. don't blame Christmas.. blame the dollar!

ever considered dollar/yen exchange rate for price going up? US $ has been going lower against the Yen for a while now. Just a thought.

depending on your budget.. id recommend one of the Ko digital servos. (2143 older model digital to the 2364 heatsink models) its always easier to dial out steering from your car then to mess around with your setup trying to dial it in.

cars now a days have plenty of room on the chassis. i have two fans, a VFS-1, my 302F receiver along with my 2143 (upgrading to a 2363 heatsink servo) digital servo. havent had any problems yet. running all the same product also makes it easier for troubleshooting and customer service. ask robert.. i bug him all the time!

Now to end all questions about crystals

FUTABA CRYSTALS DO NOT WORK WITH KO PROPO.

JR PROPO CRYSTALS WILL WORK FOR KO PROPO

Also the I used the JR XS3 receiver, and that works great with my Helios. I remeber someone saying that someone at KO PROPO said futaba crystals will work. Well that person is not correct for the helios. Anyhow, now everyone knows

Ya they are different modulation. If you look at a Novak Xxtra RX the Futaba and Hitec will work together and the Airtronics, JR, and KO will work together. That is why the first number dial has 6,7,8,9 on the top and bottom of the dial. One set for each modulation.
