Default Which 4WD would you drive? ZX6, XB4, D413 ...

So I've got a bit of a dilemma. I've decided to park my B44.1 and I went crazy on getting a new 4WD car. Btw ... parts for each of these cars don't seem to be an issue. I can get them fairly easily.

I went away and actually bought these cars:
Kyosho Lazer ZX6
Xray XB4'14
HB D413

I've built the ZX6 and XB4 (I like building cars ...) and electronics wise, I have the following lying around:
ESC -
Hobbywing V3.1
Viper VTX10R-BE
Speed Passion Reventon Pro 1.1
Motor
Trinity D3.5 5.5T
Muchmore Fleta ZX 6.0T
Scorpion RS-3420 6.5T

Servo will be Savox 1258TG.

So ... from the above combinations, I'm in a bit of a dilemma as to which to use as my main 4wd platform. Any suggestions? Would also like some info on why you've chosen a particular platform.

(This is all until VBC release their 4wd buggy ... which is probably a year away!)

Thanks!

Reasoning would be that I have run kyosho past and present and am very happy with the quality. As far as esc it appears to be your best option,!would be comparable to the tekin rs pro. Also motor, trinity d3.5 because it's a good motor. Partial to the trinity d3 and 3.5 motors because they run fast and cool for me. I'd choose 5.5 because that's what you have. Personally run a 6.5, but may switch to 5.5 and drop it back a hair that way I have more power if needed

I actually use the combo Viper VTX10R-BE & Scorpion RS-3420 6.5T in my D413. The power in the car is ok, but the motor get's very hot (180+). I believe I have a 22 or 23 pinion. It would be very interesting to know the result of hobbywing V3.1 and the Scorpion motor combo.

Hey cokemaster ... do you think you'll stick with that electronics combo for a while?

Seeing as the voting seems to go ZX6 with Trin D3.5 and Viper ESC, I might chuck that combo into the already built XB4 and give it a whirl some time.

What FDR is that on the D413 that you're running atm??

I had all of these cars for a pretty good time. My favorite is the kyosho followed by the Xray. All 3 are great!

I will probably keep the viper ESC, but use a Trinity D3.5 or the new D4 instead. I have also enjoyed Vipers, and will update to the latest firmware next week. See attached PDF for gearing of the D413.

Default I would sell all of them and buy a dex410

I would get the Durango dex 410 v4 rock solid buggy fun to drive and won many championships!

All 3 are solid but i personally run the D413 and like it so much a bought 2. I have beat the hell out of it and have still not broke anything not to mention that it is easy to set up and drives like it is on rails. 1st time out with it I set the fastest lap at the track and that was with the stock setup.

How do you like that Scorpion motor? I was thinking of getting one of these when I get the new HobbyPro SB401 wheeler.

For me there was no wow factor for the Scorpion motor. I have used them in my helicopters with good luck though. I will try some different gearing and settings with the esc before i make up my mind. As for now, i think the Trinity motors are a better choice.

If I wanted to try a Durango I would have bought one too. Parts support seems to be shocking out here in S.E. Asia so that one isn't even in the picture.

Lazer ZX6 - Viper VTX10R-BE - Trinity D3.5 5.5T it is

I really need to think of a paint scheme that's for me.

Personally, I would run the HB D413, but thats because I know alot of people who run this kit and can easily help me with the smallest of adjustments to make my car ALOT more fun. Not to mention, I have seen my buddies bash them up and rarely break parts.
