I just ordered a couple of sets, so I'm very excited to try them out.

Seems like everyone (on this thread) likes them!

Akhor try 1 gold and 2 black springs!! It will give you some bite with just a tick of the throttle when you need it, and enough slip not to spin your tires, but when you really need to punch it, it will lock up your bell

168 posts since I posted the review of the clutch shoes (http://www.myrcbox.com/?p=714). I'm not surprised at all. The Answer-RC clutch shoes work so well. I wonder how much they sold since I published the article ! LOL

Just wanted to give an update on the shoes. These damn things just don't wear out! I'm going thru 3 sets of springs for 1 set of shoes. I just knock a small amount of burr off them after 2 to 3 race days and reinstall. Keep the bell cleaned up with a drum sander and all works great. And now that Answer has clutch pins with a slotted head for a standard screwdriver i don't have to worry abt stripped allen heads anymore. I've been very pleased with all their products. The new losi style air filters are really nice. More surface area. The clutch bells have lasted longer than the losi high endurance bells that came on the 8t 2.0. I do modify the answer springs slightly by shortening the end that goes thru the shoe by approx .020. That keeps the spring from scoring the bell. And the best part of all this is getting to race with the guy that distributes Answer-RC USA products. Mike is a great guy and a pleasure to hang out with at the track. He is a little challenged with full sized vehicles though. Needs schooling on fuel gages. And locking keys in the truck (both in the same day).

Default I'm one of the fellow racers

I'm one of jaz240 fellow racers, we broke a clutch spring a few weeks ago during a club race, and he gave us a complete set, and we tried the 1 gold and 2 black, works great! and no wear!

Just threw a new set on my car after 2 gallons on the last (and they still have a little life left). Ran practice, 3 5 mintue quals, 1 10 minute and 1 15 minute main and they barely have any burring yet! Running all 1.0's.

The hobby shop I race for, Middle River Hobbies in Maryland now carries them, as well as a few other products from Answer. All my teammates run Losi (I'm the only oddball running AE) and they love the shoes too. The spring cups for the 8ights are really nice too!

I love to see everyone have good luck with the Answer products. I run their stuff also and love it. Mike is a great guy, he even helped sponsor the GCS (Georgia Championship Series) this year. We are very pleased with what Answer R/C is doing for the sport.

Just wanted to get the photo of the new Losi filters on here for you all..
W ehave done them with a ridge cut design to increase the surfae area meaning they dont fill up so quickly with dust... Made with white foam rather than black so you can see exactly how much crud there is on there and best of all awesomely priced at only $1.6 / filter!

The shoes and springs are awesome. I use 3 alluminum with the 1.0 springs and check them between every heat. Almost no where at all after 3 race day's on the current set.

One question though what is the best lubricant for the Answer bearings. I have been useing a 3 in 1 oil on the clutch bearings between everyround becouse they seem to dry out very fast.

Are these a direct fit on the Losi air filter hanger?
