Anyone ever experience arching?

Anyone ever experience arching?
Today, i noticed that my wires were arching (for those of you who dont know what arching is, its when the wires cross, and can actually conduct that way, and change the flow of the electricity). I would hit the gas, and then the wires would touch and the car would stop, but then i would undo the wires and it would work, and then it would go back to arching again. Luckily i got it that the wires are away from each other now. Anyone else ever have this problem?

sounds more like a hung brush but your not giving enough info.
Do u actually see arching?
Where?
Wires twisted together should not arch.
Cheap fixes:
-clean motor inspect or replace brushes and have comm cut
-if wires are suspected (cracked or ripped insulators) replace the wires from your ESC to the motor also inspect your battery wires

why do you have exposed wiring on your car?? are these battery-esc, esc-motor connections or what?
just replace any wiring on the car that isn't insulated

hmmmm, never heard of anything like that before... some people even twist motor wires around each other to reduce glitching...
maybe a faulty connection somewhere so that when the wires are touching the connection doesn't conduct, and when the wires aren't touching it does conduct? seems unlikely but i can't think of anything else it could be

What your describing is from very high voltage situations. Thousands of volts shoot through some spark wires and worn old wires will allow grounding. I work with electronic spark ignition at work on furnaces. When wire insulators break down i can get grounding where the spark comes out he side of the wire instead of the ignitor. THE FIX? replace the wire(most never look cracked}
IF you suspect your RC car is doing the same thing as a car with poor spark plug wires then you already know what to do. REPLACE the wires from your ESC TO MOTOR TO BATTERY.
