I guess it's a coincidence that there is an ETS race scheduled for the same weekend?

Doesn't Mike Boylan and his crew usually have his dates and snowbirds announcement months ago? Like a couple months if not weeks after the race is held?
Like this thread posted in march of 2013, which I'm guessing is well before the 2014 ETS Dates were annouced? Snowbirds 20th Annual

Hello racers! Hope you are having an awesome summer. Things are coming together wonderfully for the 20th annual Snowbird Nationals in Orlando, Florida! Hotel reservations are rocking and I have received dozens of emails this year already from first timers coming to the 'birds. Several sponsors have already contacted me they are returning and there are a few new companies interested in being a part of the show! We have so much planned for this year's event that we can not wait that is for sure. This is your RACING VACTION. See everything online at www.snowbirdnationals.com and check the location/hotel link for all the info on the race hotel and the local area, as there are a million things to see and do around the Snowbirds. And also make sure to join our Facebook page (now with 3500+ fans).

In the end it won't really matter much - the Snowbirds will probably lose a couple of Euro drivers while the ETS will lose nobody.
FYI the Nuremberg Toy Fair is the same weekend as the 'birds which is the main reason I am never there. RROC Off-Road the weekend before so a lot of stuff crammed into two weekends.

KICKOFF!
Are you ready for some.... carpet racing!!! The start of NFL and football is also the start of our countdown to the 'Superbowl of R/C', the Snowbird Nationals. The birds' end on Super Bowl Sunday once again this year and you can expect an awesome party on main day Sunday along with a few special surprises this year as we mark our 20th annual event. Classes should be online in October with entry forms online the end of November.

Yes they will be allowed. We will be using the Roar list of approved motors. All the classes with more complete rules will be posted up soon. No big changes from last year...
The bird buzz is strong and looks like another packed house for the 20th annual Snowbirds. Last year was the largest event in five years. And with 9500+ entries since it's beginning we should pass 10K after this year. Thanks everyone! Sponsors are signing up now and we will be posting up those soon. Can't wait!
