Did you say something about "Free Track pass", this weekend?
Wish I could make SoCal!

Happy B-day

Thanks everyone. I ended up at so cal and watched the daytona 500 from there as I raced. I TQ'd both stk buggy and stk truck. Had a couple "rough laps" in stk buggy and got 3rd. I won stk truck. This Banzai/Slingshot power is great!

Thanks again everyone for the birthday wishes!

Racing with good comp/friends vs. sitting at home(stocked fridge) remote in hand, Recliner AND THE '500'(on your b-day)?

RACING wins everytime!!!! no matter how you look at it!
Hope you had a good one Casper
And thanks for the set up help

Dave, Ray, Coop and I raced at Palomar Raceway today. Had a great time. This track is primarily for the "N" or "G" crowd, but electric is welcome. We had 10 entries in electric with a 50/50 mix of truck and buggy. Everyone was pretty much running some sort of modified (even a couple of "B" motors )
Dave and I ran our Banzai K19T's on this very big track. My average lap times were in the 47-48 second range with a fast lap of 46.12. I was the only electric to go 7 laps in qualifying and was actually faster than the 1/8 sportsman buggy TQ We ran a 7 minute main event where I did a whopping 9 laps Banzai power with Slingshot 4200's backing it up made time no problem, was VERY fast (dont think the motor ever hit top speed on the straight away that had to be close to 90ft long), and even after 7 minutes, the motor only temped out at 149.7! The track is a little rough for 10th scale, but if you've ever run at a big race where they run 1/8th and 1/10 together, then you already know how that is. Maybe in April, Casper and Ryan D. (and anyone else) can come down to race. You guys can bring your "G" rides

Oh, this place is only about 15-20 minutes south of Temecula, on the 15 freeway.

Qualified 2nd in stk truck, had to start last for not marshalling . Seriously caught up in about 2 laps, lots of lucky passes I guess. Passed two people down the straight on the start, kept it all tight. Would have liked to be there at the start though.

It was a fun race day. 3 heats of 4wd today. Kind of a hint of what is to come of the cactus. Kind of got me itching for a 4wd again!

We will see.

Glad you liked the setup Dave!

Oh by the way I was the only truck to get 12 laps in qualifying. I was pretty on today in truck. Ran consistant with no mistakes.

Casper you looked good all day other than the rough start in buggy. You had me saying "Damn" and got me daydreaming when I was supposed to be marshaling
It was a real fun day though. I am still a lap behind Hara but I am catching up fast

Thanks for the updates gang. Sounds like we all had some fun. I vegged yesterday and watched Neckcar. Great finish.

Thanks for hunting that down Travis.

Bob, what are you doing next Sat? I'm thinking about going up to Jimmy's if the weather is good.
