Jason--did you get my pm this morning?

Is the "brushless" rear pod an update to improve access/serviceability or is it a balanced pod that shifts motor weight to the right?

I just replied to it buddy.

The pod update balances the pod by shifting the weight to the right. In doing this, made the motor extremely easy to install from the top with no interference at all.

That sounds great.

Does that mean we need a new width of spacer for the Jaco rears? Guessing we use up some of (all?) the spacer width from the right side now, guessing the left side remains the same.

If it uses up all the spacer width we're golden--a package of 2 is now good for 2 cars. If it uses up only part wouldn't it be cool if we had a narrower spacer? I sure like the BMI spacers vs. monkeying around with shims!!

It still uses the same 3mm spacers as before. We moved the motor plate over to the right and used the offset hub to compensate for it. We left the left pod the same. Any more than this would have been too far.

Jason
I noticed that you sell the SPEED PASHION esc on your site. Are they better than the LRP or NOVAK brushless for use in the DB12R or DB10R? The resaon I ask is because SPEED PASHION is new to me and I do not know any thing about them. I am going to get a DB10R or DB12R in the next couple of weeks and would like to go brushless when I do, most of the guys I race with run LRP brushless or NOVAK brushless in there 1/12th scales, right now I run a KEYENCE RAPIDA brushed esc in my 1/12th (tired of the motor maint).
You and all of the guys on this thread are really helpful and that is is why I have decided to try the BMI cars. BIG THANKS TO ALL OF YOU

Got it Johnny

I like the SP LPF speed control. It is very tunable like the keyence. It has an easy to use programmer box that makes things really adjustable.

Hey Guys,

I wanted to let you know that i have made the decision that our 1/12th car is now going to come standard with all of the new parts. I will still offer the update kit and pod seperately so the existing cars can be upgraded at a minimal cost. The car will also come standard with the new lowered pods. Even though our costs have increased, I will be holding the price the same. There will be no increase in price. The new car will be called the DB12RR. Thanks for your ongoing support. I couldnt have gone this far without you guys.

Thanks again,
Jason
