Default coming back to RC want a new Car

Like the title sais ive been out of the RC scene for sometime and im ready to come back. on the 10th of august i will have 1500 to spend but to be honest i dont want to spend even close to that.

scale doesnt matter as long as its FAST. I am not going to race it im just having fun with my friends.

Im looking for the fastest nitro onroad right now. not sure about the size but just post up your thoughts.
I cant give you any info as to what is the best way to go with car, IMO i believe there all damn good, I went with the Mtx4r only because i got a killer deal on one used.. but for a good value on other items you will need,i.e, servos, radio, engine... etc.. check the sale threads in this forum, they have some great deals on used/new items, and can save you some bucks

best of luck

Well if you are sure you want to go on road and just bash around with friends and go fast then you could get the traxxas 4 tec its fast and fun to bash around with but when i stopped racing a couple years ago and just wanted to bash for awhile going back and forth down a street wasn't exciting no matter how fast so i benched the cars and picked up a revo 3.3 and it was a blast going down the street hit a little wooden ramp and get some air and i have a golf course behind my house with bunkers and stuff and its AWESOME but now im back to racing
So what im saying is the decision is up to you and what you feel like doing

I have never heard of steering problems but if its with the steering servo then you shouldn't have to worry about replacing it with a better one

let me explain about on road bashing.

its fun for about 5 minutes.

you drive in a straight line to the left...really fast, then you have to turn around and go as fast as you can the other way...

repeat steps 1 and 2, then repeat, then repeat.....and so on and so on....

now, once you wake up from boredom.... get yourself an off road, find a nice dirt area with hills, bumps, and jumps etc......and enjoy bashing!!!

onroads need a track to have even a little bit of fun.

I would suggest a HPI. Easy to work on, easy to find tech info on, good customer support and very easy to find parts for at your local hobby store.

Well, if you have a buddy or two that you can drag race against, or better, set up a temporary course with a set of cones ($5), onroad bashing CAN be fun . I used to do it all the time before starting to race competitively.

Hey Miles... I think I saw your post that said you're getting out of onroad.. is that true?!
