would rather see a hand matched engine that is fully port matched, wich has always been SHs big downfall.

is the cermic piston worth the extra price? I would assume it doesnt expand as much with heat causing less friction?

Big downfall? SH is coming up,no one likes to run them because the are made in Taiwan and dont cost an arm and a leg These engines are some of the best around, I have been running the ceramic for some time now and it is a very smooth and powerful mill! You cant go wrong with SH power

The ceramic piston?
Its is not Roar legal, but never an issue club racing.
It lasts 10+ gallons on avg
The friction coefficient is vastly reduced over a regular aluminum piston, and it hauls! Theres a lot more reasons, but I am a horrid salesman In the z-car thread I posted a bunch of links to info on ceramic coatings and their pros. There really isnt any cons, other than roar doesnt allow them

Oh yes, it hauls the mail nicely. Smooth bottom and a ripping mid and insane top! Use some 1.1 clutch springs and pick a line

Sh isnt coming up they have been around for quite a few years and do allot of RTR motors for companies like dynamite and GS. Im just saying the port matching to the block channels is off on some engines.Ive had seven SH built engines to date, and they are the one non italian engine i will run anymore.

Interested in the modded engines, I dont race ROAR so ceramic piston it is. the piston also must be super hard, this would explain why it last so long as sleeves dont wear out pistons do(aluminum vs chrome)

As well the ceramic pistoned one lasts so long because of the reduction in friction

I`ve had many,many SH engines over the years and always had great power and fuel economy . When I went to big races people would come up to me and ask what engine that was and was amazed that it was a SH and more amazed it kept right up with their $300-$400 engines . Hobby People used to sell them and they stopped for a while and think they are bringing them back .


I haven`t tried the ceramic piston model as I`m not positive yet if it is worth the extra $50 . The people that have them , are they worth the extra over the regular model ?

Well yes and no.
If you race roar events the engine is not legal.
They both perform similar, with the ceramic having a slight edge.
However the ceramic lasts forever, so if you dont race Roar events, and want it to last a looong time, the ceramic is worth the extra $ imho

We will be carrying the full .21 and up SH engines, and in stock and in modded versions.
