Default Is it possible to convert motors?

i was wondering, if quad magnet motors are supposedly better... is it possible to just cut a 1 or 2 mm gap in the existing magnets of a 2 magnet motor? would it have the same effect??

thanx

and how are you going to cut it?
theoretically it should give the similar effect. but those cutting and frictions could make the magnet's property changed.
Too much hassle. Try buying 2nd hand quad can, saves you time n effort.
