I have a SC10 that I have had for a while. I have the EZRUN esc and motor in it (which I LOVE) but have been having a problem in the past with the motor shifting forward when you take a hard hit to the front of the truck.... like when I would hit the face of a double or slam into a stopped car on the stright if I didnt see it. It just shifts slightly forward enough to mess with the pinion mesh which makes it tighter, then over heats etc. PITA.

I have the motor tightened down as hard as I can and I use threadlock too. Ive had this problem in the past with other cars/motors so its not my specefic setup thats the problem. Does anyone have a good fix for this?? I was thinking maybe using a dremel and roughen up the smooth aluminum surface on both the motor and the inside of the motor plate where the two pieces would come together to try to get it to stop sliding forward.... but Im open to sugestions. Or maybe drill a 3rd hole in the motor plate to accomodate a 3rd screw to hold the motor in place? I never change the gearing because I have it set perfect for my application so basically all i need is this dang motor to stay still even if I plow full speed head on into a brick wall haha. (JK) Anyways all help is appreciated!

Thats really kind of a personal question.

JK. I actually dont have any on it right now simply because I needed 3x8mm screws to hold the motor.... and need to get 3x10mm if I use a washer. Ive used the washers in the past but with the way the motor threads are, I cant get a good bite on them with a washer... Its a long story. Do you think the washers are absolutely essential?

picture someone breaks into your house and trys pulling you out of you bedroom doorway and your only holding the door moulding with 2 fingers on each hand on each side of the door(hes gonna win!). versus the robber pulling you out of the bedroom doorway and you have both hands wrapped around each side of the door moulding.

your the bolt the robber is the motor and your hands are the washers the door moulding is the motor plate
