Finally should be able to get out and race on the 23rd. Hopefully be able to run GT12, and F1. Was able to pick up a Roche P12 Evo. Any suggesting for gearing and setup?

Wish could help. But both my 1/12 are a mess.
most run pinions in the mid to high 50s for GT12

Question in general, not directed at The Thunderdome only but all club races in general. Is it really necessary to prolong a race day on a Saturday or Sunday to be a full 8 plus hour day by having 3 qualifiers and a main? To me the length of a club race day is one of the biggest issues with attracting new blood to the hobby. I ask this because of how great the program was on Wednesday night for the first midweek race. It was a nice turnout, great close racing and all with 1 qualifier and a main. Racing started at 7 pm and we were done by 10 pm.

maybe a weekend club race should be 2 quals and a main. After all baring a breakdown how much does the starting order really change after the first round of qualifying. This would get people or earlier and maybe attract more people to race on a Saturday or Sunday and still give them a chance to go out on a Saturday evening or be home earlier in a Sunday before going back to work on Monday.

by no means is this an attack on The Thunderdome I think the team does a fantastic job with the facility and running the racing.

just some thoughts to try and grow the hobby and attendance.

on another note it is so nice to see multiple heats of GT12, I hope it continues to grow. It is so fun watching actual racing and passing at a speed you can see the cars and still control them.

keep up the great work!!

I liked the 2Qs and double mains we did few weeks back. I don’t think most want to give up the track time to cut a round.

Rounds can always be faster. I’ve done the no break between before. 3 rounds of qualifying in just over 3 hrs with 12 heats. Then take a long break before mains.
