Local favorite Michael Schoettler takes down world champion Ryan Maifield at the Jconcepts Indoor Nats in 2wd Mod, at Tacoma RC Raceway with his B5m.

Michael sure is building a name for himself! I knew he was fast, but he put a stamp on this one.

Thanks for sharing the story!

Michael is fast for sure, but he also had home track advantage. I'd like to see how well he'd do if he went to the worlds and had to deal with being jet lagged from flying half way around the world.

Just bought a new steering link and found that the fit on the balls is way too tight. Is there a fix for this? Noticed the same thing on a new B5 with all the ball cups being tight and creating a lot of binding

What are the diff shims that are needed for the 3-gear transmission? I can't seem to find them on A-main... but I may be overlooking it

When I upgraded to the 3 gear a couple months ago it had a lot of play side to side of the diff, like a couple mm. So I need to shim it up. I've only run it one weekend as I've been at school and haven't been racing.

They are the ASC1733 heavy duty shims. Meant for the B44 series.
