But that might be due to me charging at 12 amps. I'm gonna go to 8amp charge for racing and see what happens. Plus now I'm starting to heat up my packs after charging. Of course all my cycles are 1C at 4000mAh or 4amps. 35amp discharge with 180seconds cool down for the cycle. Packs are discharged down to 6v before cycle starts. Here's the history so far. Each packs usually get 3 runs on race day. 1~2 cycles during the week. So about 4 or 5 charges a week for each pack.

I think the LBA6 uses the same as the Great Planes Equinox, but definitely not the same as the Trakpower/Flightpower. The LBA10 uses a unique adapter like you said.

You can always just buy a JST-XH plug and replace the circuit board with that, right? Just cut off the circuit board, line up & connect the black end wire on the XH plug all the way to the right (the last black wire the way it plugs in) on your DUO adapter, and connect the two wires next to the black wire on the XH plug with the each of two wires to the left on the hyperion adapter that plugs into the charger. I would use a multimeter to confirm that is the correct configuration, but I'm pretty confident that would work.

In other words, the 3 wires circled in blue in the second pic below are the only ones even used for the 2S JST-XH adapter...just cut the circuit board off and solder a female JST-XH plug onto those three wires. I saw some cheap Trakpower female XH plugs also available at Nexus.

Don't let all the wires scare you ...all you need is 3 of them + the correct adapter for a 2S pack.

I recently ordered the 5000 28C with deans connector and got the dark carbon look case with top exit leads (which i prefer), once i confirmed a fit to my TC i then ordered a second but this time the traxxas connector (deans was out of stock) and got the red case with side exit leads.

Danny can you please confirm the part number i need to order to get the dark carbon look case 5000mah 28C with any connector?

I dunno about others but i really prefer the top exit cases.

Thanks!

Our top exit packs have the same part numbers as it's just a change in wires and look of the case. You need to ask when you order what style the store you buy from has. We have been shipping top wires cases only since ealry September.

I should have my results posted late late tonight or sometime tomorrow. So far IR is way up and voltage is down, but reversing with each cycle. I put 3 cycles on them last night. Tonight I'm gonna put 3 more.

Do you have the cycle numbers of when you stored them and how long did they stay stored ? I have heard from some that have left packs sit for a long period of time that the IR goes up and that means voltage will be down. Racers using there packs regularly don't seem to seeing this. So I believe it's best if the packs get stored with no charge and cycled once in awhile to make sure the voltage of the cells doesn't go under 3 volts.

Wouldn't it be nice if every one used the same connectors?

My quote at the top of the page was my last cycle before I stored them with 1000mah put back into them. That was back in 4/27/2008 according to the post. They haven't been touched until this past weekend... 12/04/2008. So that's over 7 months worth of storage without ever touching or even acknowledging the packs existence.

Of course I don't suggest this to anyone. But I was just curious what the outcome would be. I'm sure you would be curious too. I don't plan on racing anytime soon. But I wanted to cycle them anyways. Now that I have my equipment unpacked, I'll continue to cycle them every week and see what happens. If I do start racing again (maybe spring time), I'll probably buy a 5000 pack from ya.

If these were nimh pack, they'd be in the garbage. No questions asked. Anyways, I'll post my numbers later tonight (Monday).

Gotta dumb question??

How can i calculate my average voltage the same as calculated by SMC/Danny.

Do you read the volts every 60 sec and average the whole discharge cycle ?
Or read the highest and lowest ?divide by 2 ?

I just got my GFX back from Lipo update and wanna be sure Im checking my stuff out right
