Default 8T Starter box question

I have the losi 8T RTR. I have the stock mach 427 engine in it still. I bought the back plate for the engine to use the Mugen pro starter B2 box. I put the box together correctly. The starter wheel spins from right to left as my engine is on the left side of the truggy. I have the stock flywheel on and it does touch to the wheel but doesn't spin the flywheel. I am new to using starter boxes. This box had really good reviews. Any help or advice is much appreciated.

Is the wheel hitting the chassis? On my son's 8 RTR buggy I had to get the pro version motor mounts to lower the motor and I also had to grind the chassis hole with a dremel so the wheel actually hit the flywheel and did not drag on the chassis.

Hope this helps.

I forgot to add i bought the kings head engine mount for the setup. It does touch the flywheel. I'm only using 1500 mah batteries. Maybe that's the problem.
