I use my 710 for smaller tight turning tracks. I think the 710 can out turn a 720. I use my 720 for faster and bigger tracks. I have both setup pretty much the same. I did get the new shocks for the 710 and they work great.

The primary differneces between the 710 and 720 is the rear and how the front is assembled. The front on the 720 is modular where as the 710 it's part by part. The rear of the 710 is more intricate and I think more flexable. It's got a rear stear thing going on. I just know it works well and do not take a hit back there. On the other hand, the 720s' rear is built like the 8th scale 960. It's simple and stout. It really holds well on fast tracks.

Parts for the 710 and 720 are very interchangable. The front arms upper and lower can be used on either car. The 720's can be used on either side where as the 710 has defined left or right. I think the cars are 70% interchangable. Just stock up on rear parts and shock towers. Otherwise you will not have any problem getting parts.

I have been running a 710 for a month or so and today i seized the clutch bearings.
The serpent site says they are 5x10x3 (3 being the thickness I assume?)
I measured the ones that were in it as 5x10x4.
So, I dont think there are any other 5x10 bearings on the car so I dont think I put the wrong ones in there, but maybe the kit had the wrong size bearings included??
Which size is right?

More steering going in, mid turn, exit?
I was using almost default 710 setup, with front diff (Serpent oil 30000) and 37's shore all over. The track has a very good grip.
Need more steering at mid and exit.
Thnx

I left front end alone, played with castor shims
In the rear stood up the shocks, 1 or 2 hole pistons(?can't remember), 3 mm bar and you can also try harder shore tires than front

More caster, harder rear tire, harder rear end, heavier rear diff oil, stiffen rear sway bar, less droop travel in the front, less weight transfer to the rear. These are some ideas to help get you started.

Can I upgrade 710 rear suspension to 720? If so, what parts I need?

The 720 arms are a little bit longer than the 710 ones I think. I need to physically check.

My steering bellcrank is getting too much play. Is it a common problem? Any solution?

The front ball diff gives you better cornering. I ran the solid front at first then upgraded to the ball front. I broke two outdrive cups and bent the front dogbones a couple of times with the solid. The front width has to be reduced to run the ball diff, or the dogbones pop out. The ball diff gives you a lot more tuning choices. It might take a while to get the front/rear balance right, I am still working on it. If it wasnt for the breakage, I would go back to the solid, it is a more simple setup.
