Hey quick question for all... Has anyone been able to install a Trinity D4 in their car? Am I missing something? I have years of experience but have never seen a can like this 7.5 has. It only has 4 motor screw holes and they dont work with a b5m as far as I can tell

D4 in mine. I had to unscrew the can, and rotate until the holes lined up better for the solder tabs.

If not you can "index" the front plate to make it easier.
Ok thanks guys I thought the can was keyed for some reason my bad lol
I dont think anyone has received a shipment yet. When i asked about a week ago they were hoping for before x mas but im not sure if thats blowin smoke or not
Question for you guys. New to 1/10 but very familiar to 1/8 electric. Bought a tekin system Rsx/8.5 combo. Left motor timing at zero and no timing on esc. Geared 22/78 for medium size clay track. Car feels very slow. Compared to other mod cars on track it looks like I'm running a 17.5. Is can timing and esc timing required to get any speed out of this system or is there another problem? If I start adding esc timing (35 starts to wake it up) it feels like a mod car. Again new to smaller scale so not familiar with timing as in 1/8 I rarely use it. Any help is appreciated.

The stock placement for the endbell puts the motor at strange positions for wiring. You need to undo the pinion side of the endbell, and rotate it 33 degree (i forget which way).. one of the positions lets you tilt the ABC tabs forward just at ad from straight up... works great. Just not great out of the package.

The D4 is crazy fast but likes more can timing, I have mine at 54* with 34/69 gearing. Can't seem to get it past 115*, great bottom and top end!

Anybody running exotek slipper eliminator have a hard time getting it slipped over and alum topshaft? I know top shaft has two flat sides and so does exotek but man it was tight had to push on pretty good, wonder about others experience.
Holy crap this thing is light!. I haven't painted the body yet but its at 1464 right now with a 3800 shorty. Guess i need a square pack.
Yeah a 7.5 with 54 degrees would be pretty ballistic with a trinity motor.
