For car use, what are some good brands of proportional ESC w/brakes for BL systems? I used to have a few brushless systems in my ducted fan plane day's but that was just on and off or stepped throttle. I liked the almost zero maintenance of the BL system. I think I only added bearing oil from time to time... Also got nice run time with the system.

Default Check it out!

Novak just upsated their web site. Looks like the Super Sport brushless is much like a brushed 10 turn. Cool! Good Job Novak! Can't wait to test one. I just hope the motor can is black or purple. I don't like the silver, it looks cheap.

A poll, how many have ordered one?

How much does a run time increase does a brushless setup allow?

Say a brushed 10 turn with some decent 2400's gets about 6 minutes of good run time.

How will the brushless setup be with the same battery pack?

Default According to Novak

they say 20% longer run times. 3300 cells should be great!

Default I think its...

teh speed controller that decides what rpm the motor will be and if that is the case, then all Novak would have to do is change the RPM within the speed control. Maybe they thought it was too slow so maybe they changed it to 46000 something rpm. Just a thought. Regardless, I can't wait to try one.
