Default CARCAR Summer Season

As you all know now, there will be just one RC club representing all aspects of racing in Calgary. It looks like we will be at 2 locations for this year. Next year we hope to be all rolled into one locale. For this year we must decide on how to run the races so as not to conflict with both On-road and Off-road racing. This poll will run through the week and on friday the outdoor schedule will be made up. Pls feel free to comment also as your feed back is important. Thanks.

The option I would like to see isn't up there.

On Road every Wenesday.
Off Road most Sundays, with 1 Sunday a month On Road.

I think this way you keep interest in both types of racing high and you also get a pretty fair mix of both classes.

You have to think that you would get more track time on a Sunday than on a Wednesday night, and so to give 1 Sunday a month over to On Road would just about even out the track time.

Just my opinion of course.

Why not just alternate between having On-road/Off-road on wednesdays and sundays. So if there is On-road on wednesday night then have off-road on sunday, the next week have off-road on wednesday night and on-road on sunday. Then just alternate every week.

That helps if someone like myself that can't make it every weekend.
It will have to be set so it doesn't interfere with the offroad westerns.

If a schedule is posted there shouldn't be a problem. Atleast then a guy would know there is going to be races. I think there will have to be race organizers set to make sure the races run. That was the bad thing about last year, there would be people showing up to race, but nothing would happen.

yeah that is very true.

and I guess if there is a schedule then we all know when we can go out and play !!!

Any schedule would of course have to take the Off road westerns and the Alberta On roads ( + Edmontons on road and any other biggish events) into account.

We can't run off-road at nites due to the housing directly across from the track. We would have to be wrapped up by 9pm, 9:30 at the latest. Don't forget the complete lack of AC we have right now.

Also needed for the upcoming season, Off-road track director, and race director.

not great is it....

Mind you I didn't vote as the option I want is not available.

but if only 7 or 8 guys are up for it, then this Summer won't be much different to last...

I'm sure though it's only a lack of communication somewhere.
