Questions?? Looking at getting a truck again, now which one?

I want to bash good and jump too, but i also want to be able to race also when i can get to the track, but i need to be able to bash too and not break all the time.

So far i have these in mind

Hpi savage 4.6 RTR
Losi Lst2
Team Associated mgt 8.0

Of the three trucks you listed, for bashing and racing the LST2 is the one to go with. But in this world, you cant mix and match, you either want a basher or a racer. You wanna race, get a truggy, you wanna bash get a savage, nothing wrong with the LST2 for bashing i just dont believe it is as good a basher as the savage. Plus who wants to go bashing with a $700 rig? But if you insist on it being one of those 3 trucks the LST2 will do double duty, but dont expect to be competitive at the track with out spending allot of $$$$ on and already as expensive as hell truck. And once you do all the mods you wont even consider bashing it.

Yeah i was thinking staying with hpi products since i have owned them in the past but i like racing too but the lst2 at my local hobby store is 599.99 and the savage 4.6 is 429.99 while the new savage will be 589.99, i do like bashing but not hard core as some are but i'd like to be able to race at the local club too.

Thanks
Byron

I've seen the a stock LST2 with a super driver whoop some major tail. Hehe, then again I watched him whoop all the truggie guys with a stock mgt back when it was first out too.
lol
I would vote for the losi though, it really gets around the track well.

Cool

I did post a thread in the northwest folder to see if any tracks were local in my area and nothing solid yet, so maybe i will just get a basher and do that. But i'm still open to the lst2 but i like the savage too, i guess i want more toughness and speed at the same time lol

I would get the Losi LST2 since I have one . You can get them for $559 at amainhobbies.com
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/4672

Or if you go to killerhobbies.com and make an account you can get one even cheeper.

Either place you go you have to add it to your cart to see the real price. At killer if you make an account then add it to your cart you'll see the real price.

The LST2 can get it done at the track and you can bash the crap out of it.

Hope this helps...

It's not much of a racer, it's more of a basher. At 5 min a tank your not goint to compete with the rest of the crowd. The MGT has insane power, but it reminds me of a T-MAXX blah

Well if it was between those 2 the LST2 is more of a racer right out of the box than the Savage. The Savage is a killer basher, but the LST2 is super easy to work on, parts are cheep and it is track worthy.

Well I hope that the video helped you be 100% for the LST2 it is one fine truck. Mine is pretty much stock. It still has reverse and the only things I've added is the HD center skid plate, the Nova head, Outerwears shock covers, Dynamite engine brace, sway bars, a teal mach carb that has an 8mm venturi and muggy tires. They temps it runs at I contribute to the Byrons 2 Gen fuel and the Nova head and of course a good tune

You can't go wrong with either truck, but If I wanted to race and bash I would get the LST2 over the savage any day. You will be amazed on how easy it is to work on.

I plan to do alot more work to my LST2 for racing, but it doesn't take much. I could race it right now if I wanted, but I'm just useing it for playing right now.

Awesome video! I liked that like wheelie backflip on ur jump.
I think the LST2 would be the best of both worlds.bashing and racing.

I would go with the LST2, I don't know what this one guy mean's by putting alot of cash into a LST to race, my wife has raced one for 2 years and the only thing I did was put a 2 speed forward only tranny in and I replaced a few axle's but she wouldn't let go of the gas on landings and that thing had so much torque it would snap axles, once she stopped doing that she never broke anything and she took 2nd in monster last season
