I'm sure that the following have been previously covered in this thread, but recent events suggest that a refresher may be necessary:

If you say "I'll take it!" and request a PayPal address for payment, then please follow through on the transaction. I've had several instances in just the past few weeks where someone claims an item, asks where they should send payment, and then just leaves me hanging If you choose not to follow through with a purchase, at least have the courtesy of making up an believable excuse (I can totally sympathize if you need to back out of a $25 deal because your dog took the keys to your truck and drove it through the garage door; happens to me at least twice a year).

If you want to make an offer, then perhaps do it via PM and not by posting in the thread itself (this is especially true if you're making a laughably low-ball offer, although I guess if you want to embarrass yourself, then maybe it's more entertaining for everyone else to do it in public view). It's worth noting that the folks who do this typically have a low post count (maybe a few to a few dozen), of which the vast majority are low-ball offers in For Sale forum threads. I'm guessing that they don't spend a lot of time reading Do's and Don'ts.

Tony, looks like you'll have to make 78 more posts before you can post something for sale. Check out the section rules here:

It seems people do a piss poor job of responding to questions or offers in their ads, a simple no thank you can solve a lot. You ask a question and all you get is a ttt for a response.

Default My first for sale thread

I'm going to make sure :
1. I follow the author of this thread's advice to the t
2. My prices are within reason...whatever that is...maybe just cheaper than eBay
3. Not bump my thread

Seems a daunting task...

Just a thought if you're trying 2 sale something look in the want to buy thread!!!! and the heading does not change if you edit it so just because it says one thing doesn't mean they didn't change it or want something else

Sellers peeve, if you have 6-8 good pics from every angle, and they ask for more pics...there is about a 90% chance they waste your time and dont buy....lol

And if you have 5-6 Plus pages of “bumps”/“ttt” then maybe your item is not selling for what you are asking
