OK, I was gonna let this go......... but.........
Lets do some Math.

2 entries fee raised 5.00 from last year......................... + 5.00
Pit in the park this year = FREE...... last year 25.00...... -25.00
Sign-up early and get 10.00 off the warm-up race = -10.00
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM thats 30.00 in savings. That looks "CHEAPER" to me. and fuel cost last year....... 5.15 a gallon.... this year.... 2.00 per gallon. hmmmmm How much "Cheaper" would that be driving a full sized Pickup dragging a trailer from lets say Portland to wenatchee and back........ lets be generous and call it 90.00 (IF you could do it on 20 gallons, which is impossible to do 1 way) There is a savings of 120.00 ..... Sounds cheaper to me!!!!! but funny how my expenses keep going up...... Hmmm I Know, lets lower the cost and put another track out of business!!!! Keep in mind I Dont make a dime off this race, I spend a ton of time and money to put it on.

So 2 entries costs me $85

How does that make my pocketbook better for, oh lets say, ummmm FOOD and rent

I thought the RACERS wanted to try and tone things down, focus on racing... Less Trophies... and cheaper...... Yes LESS ENTRY fee's

I saw that you guys voted to increase them to a MAX of $50

Sorry guys...... guess my idea was listening to the racers...

Less Trophies
Less Money
More racing
More Fun

I have commited to Sponsoring the truggy Class, so am in the game so dont think I am a ONCE A PON A TIME RACER..... and still plan on making a race or two this summer if time permits it

Kinda caught of guard that its still about the money, should be about the racers....

Why $50 for 1st entry.. what costs at the track went up?????

Sorry Corey... Love ya bud, think yer great for the hobby, I guess I missed something, My bad

my $.02..... Like i ever keep my thoughts to myself

Regardless of the price, the main thing is we are all getting together and will do some battling and hang out with our friends.

For the price, thats cheap!!!!

Look forward to my favorite track, Wetsnatchee!

Gives me "Goose Bumps" just thinking about it

Already paid my dues!!!

Corey if I won any classes, can you let me know or just sign me up for that class.

Hmmm... I mean no disrespect and I have all the respect for track hosts, but I have a few things to throw out there.

1st entry fee raised 5.00 from last year......................... + 5.00 Ok
Pit in the park this year = FREE...... last year 25.00...... -25.00 (Is this for camping or pitting? I dont remember paying for pitting if you were not camping or parking a pit trailer.)
Sign-up early and get 10.00 off the warm-up race = -10.00 (Only if you can afford the additional expenses of driving to Wenatchee for the day. The additional drive will consume any savings in the lower price of gas per gallon)

and fuel cost last year....... 5.15 a gallon.... this year.... 2.00 per gallon. hmmmmm How much "Cheaper" would that be driving a full sized Pickup dragging a trailer from lets say Portland to wenatchee and back........ (Only for those who drove full size trucks and pulled trailers.)

but funny how my expenses keep going up...... Hmmm I Know, lets lower the cost and put another track out of business!!!! Keep in mind I Dont make a dime off this race, I spend a ton of time and money to put it on. (Considering trophies are down from 13 to 10 for all classes, except for the 1/8 electric classes which is top 3 if the class is offered at the race, there is a net gain for the track. Plus an increase of 5.00 for all the racers who cannot make it to the warm-up race, there is further net gain for the track. I am not sure I agree with lowering prices per say, unless trophies and t-shirts were reduced, which I am personally for.)

So the calculations would be moderately correct assuming everyone drove full size trucks, pulled a camper/trailer, camped in the park, and could drive to the warm up race. For the average racer who does not drive a full size truck, pull a camper/trailer, and will only be able to make it to the NCT race, the savings is a net loss of 5.00. In addition, given the recent price increase on certain manufactures parts, say in the tune of 25%, there is an overall net loss. Also, the price of Nitro increased this year due to "Nitro Shortages", and has not seem to come down. The average price increase was between 10 and 20.00 a gallon. Again, there is an increased overall net loss. While some stand to benefit from the savings listed above, most will only benefit from the lower cost of gas per gallon.

Just my thoughts.

Give Stav a break he was out in the sun all last weekend.

Oh wait make that about 6 months.

Is an extra $5.00 going to kill ya? Just raced at the Nitro Pit last weekend $70.00 an entry x 2 $140.00, but we did get a t-shirt. There were two rounds of pratice for a total of 15 minutes. Now the NCT doesn't look so bad does it?
