Thumbs up Hobbywing 3,1

We would like to thanks Angelo from Hobbywing for his big help over the weekend with set-up and instruction for the V3.1 The best ever ESC we have had and also making the fastest time on track that we have ever made.
He also send us a set-up specific for our track with the SP MMM 5,5T that we use. And we have got a very smooth and powerfull set-up.
We can only say....Go for it !!!!!

Anyone have some quick tips on the best way to shorten the long wire that goes from the esc to the reciever?

Is it best to cut the wire and clamp on a new connector, or open up the esc and solder the wire off, cutting it, and solder it back on?

Just asking because I have never done it before, but this wire is sooo long.

Sorry for any spelling mistakes

Team Schumacher Denmark,
Do want to share it? I'm also running the Speed Passion MMM (4.5t - 5.5t) motors.

I am running the V3.1 in zero timing mode with an SP 13.5T. I was using the Tekin RS Pro before on the same motor, and think the Hobbywing is missing a lot of braking power ??

When I go through the set up on the esc, the brake power is set to 100%.

Any good advise how to get more braking power ?

Hi everyone

I have a hobbywing v3.1 and am
Currently using. 13.5t Revtec. I have tried using the titc
Set up on the hw website but it seems not appropriate for
My 40m straight. I was wondering if any of you have a good
Baseline 13.5 set up that I can use?

I have seem some people suggest running the reverse power at 100% as well even if you are using forward / brake only. I have never had a braking issue with any of my Hobbywings (Justock, Xtreme Stock, StockSpec 3.1, 120a v3.1 or SCT Pro), however I have always had the reverse at 100% even if not using it.

Make sure that your motor rotor is shimmed to be as close to your hall sensors of your motor sensor as possible the you will see you braking power will rise

are you really using 20 punch 1st and then 15? must be a handful to control the bottom end power ?! dont your motors get hot when using 5.5T and such high punch settings?
