Free Market Capitalist Society. Customers can choose where to spend their money. It is actually up to the manufacturers and hobby shops to change the way Great Planes Model Distributors operates with Tower Hobbies as their retail arm with the same warehouse and some sort of advantage cost basis and they could in many ways, not the customers, but yes support your local if you can.
But I know one thing is Tower and AMain do give excellent customer service and are supported for that.

Luckily for us we are also and HRP distributor and GP lost a big sale because of that. We ordered 10 cars from HRP. HRP even called the store to confirm the order. GP finally has them available for pre-order, as I just checked right now.

I think the 13.5 is gonna to really take off as it seems to be quite inviting to those wanting to try the class. I think the big thing we as racers can do to help is not discourage people who have an interest in 4wd buggy regardless of skill level by saying it too much for them. Put then on the right track with reasonable motor power and push for a class for them to start in like 17.5 is for 2wd, and I think we can grow it here in the states.
I am very curious to see what the max range is for pinion sizes on the motor relative to spur. If it offers at all the amount of "slide" I am seeing possible with my dex410v5, heck, 1 spur size could darn near be all you need.
