Either way, i know AE does not make a 12mm 2.2 wheel. Yet.

I don't think Tower will give you E-Cash for items not in stock. They will honor the discount code but not the E-Cash.

I think it's sad. This is the perfect opportunity to support your local Hobby Store, instead of a Giant Online Entity

100% agree! Hard for local tracks and hobby shops to compete with this.

Free Market Capitalist Society. Customers can choose where to spend their money. It is actually up to the manufacturers and hobby shops to change the way Great Planes Model Distributors operates with Tower Hobbies as their retail arm with the same warehouse and some sort of advantage cost basis and they could in many ways, not the customers, but yes support your local if you can.

But I know one thing is Tower and AMain do give excellent customer service and are supported for that.

Well the problem is that GP has control over the hobby shops, both with supply and through tower hobbies. It's a monopoly. When AE dropped the part number for the B64 I went right to GP to pre-order. Number did not exist on the GP site, but search for it on Tower Hobbies and there it is available for pre-order.

Luckily for us we are also and HRP distributor and GP lost a big sale because of that. We ordered 10 cars from HRP. HRP even called the store to confirm the order. GP finally has them available for pre-order, as I just checked right now.

We don't need to get into side topics. Everyone has an opinion on everything.

I wanted to mention that too but I forgot. No more off topic.

Did I mention I have one ordered already? Gonna start a 13.5 wheeler class once I get mine.

I think the 13.5 is gonna to really take off as it seems to be quite inviting to those wanting to try the class. I think the big thing we as racers can do to help is not discourage people who have an interest in 4wd buggy regardless of skill level by saying it too much for them. Put then on the right track with reasonable motor power and push for a class for them to start in like 17.5 is for 2wd, and I think we can grow it here in the states.

I am very curious to see what the max range is for pinion sizes on the motor relative to spur. If it offers at all the amount of "slide" I am seeing possible with my dex410v5, heck, 1 spur size could darn near be all you need.

if it was around the same time frame, I could see people having that dilemma me included. The announcement though almost feels like "aw crap, ae is coming out with stuff sooner than ours so we better say something".

I like it that they are jumping in too!
