Just picked up a rx10s for USGT and I really like the car.. But after few packs later noticed steering rack has pretty good amount of slop, is there a fix or a remedy for this?

TIA

I would check the bearings first make sure they are still good. This video tell you about adjusting the rack:

I would also go ahead and do this as well eliminate all issues with the rack:

for the 10s, every other race day you have to take the steering rack off and reset it. it has a tendency to get loose. i heard the new release has a better steering rack

The new rack is the same as the old one as far as my eyes can tell.

Once the rack is setup correctly and tight it works flawless... I've ran the same car for 6 months and have not even touched the rack...

Have you build it with locktight?

No but I use steel screws throughout as you cannot tighten aluminum enough without stripping or breaking the screw.

I've been using my RX-10S in usgt since the car was built at the 2016 Champs and my steering rack is still slop free and silky smooth. New SR rack uses a slider with a deeper groove than the original and so far has held up good with no washers to prevent it from popping off in a crash.

Arno has hosted my RC crew chief file for the SR. The CG positions are for a carbon car with ti screws up top and a 50g centre weight.

Enjoy

They will be available shortly. Haven’t been for sale on the site because of demand. I’d imagine after roar nats/can nats time frame
