How far forward do you mount this body on a Kyosho M3? (mm from the middle of the bumper)

Hello John;

One word - SWEET! Awsome paint work and mounting. Thanks for posting that.
Did the body fit the Motonica car ok? I didn't have access to one when making the mold. I just hoped there were no clearance issues.

Good luck with your racing efforts!

Hey Dale,

I have a Motonica P81 if you are interested in making another version of the P909. It is Motonica's newer car.

Just let me know how long you would need it for. I am almost finished building the car, barring missing parts from the kit that should be coming in soon.

Better yet, we should talk in PMs.

Hey Rapid,

I have two P909 bodies at home. Unpainted and uncut.

When my parts come in to complete the kit, I will let you know how it goes.

In the meantime, the Parma R12 and R11 work just fine with the P81. Garen has more info about that.

Sit tight!

Hello Dale,

I also have a 909 body and it fits perfect on a Motonica P8.0R 2008.
I just finished training today with it for our home GP at the MACH Heemstede in Holland.
It was going better every session, the body is very stable, more than a Zytec, although a Zytec has more steering going into a corner on european circuits.
I sort it out by stiffening both stabilizers rear and front from flat till app. 70 degrees.
And the car reacted a lot better going in and out of the corners.
This resulted in braking my lap record from 14,7 to 14,5.
Michael Salven is doing 14,0 , which is very very fast, so i'm very happy with the result.
But most of all the car felt very predictable and very stable.
When you race a Zytec and the car feels very good and you switch to a 909 you will have a little less steering going into corners, so you have to change your set-up a litttle.
With me it was only the stabilizers.
At this moment i will run these body's, i like them more and more.
Greetz Stefan.

Hi Dale,

Thanks for your kind comments.
First of all congrats on designing another nice body. I had my doubts when I first saw it as with the paint job on your display in the website it looked a bit out of proportion, but now, after fitting on my car it really does look very nice.
The fit is perfect on the Motonica P8.0R and I am sure it should be no problem to fit it on the new Motonica P81 as the new car is more conventional and similar to the majority of the cars in the market.

Now regarding the performance / behavior of the body, compared to the Zytec (which is the most popular, for now, in Europe) it does have a different feel and some set up changes are required. I m not mentioning it as a drawback, it just needs a different set up to the Zytec.
One more detail is the weight of the body. If you are a hardcore racer, it would be wise to purchase the lightweight version. It is about 55 grams lighter than the std version and it still is quite durable (I did crash test it and came out fine )

P909 LW = 165 gr (with simple, light, single color paint job)
Zytec Std = 188 gr (with "heavy" complex paint job)
P909 Std = 210 gr (with "heavy" complex paint job)

Regarding quality of the mold and lexan, well, Protoform is by far better than the Zytec.

Great looking cars, and paint. I clicked on the link and saw the other bodies, and they look great also.
Just wondering, what tires/wheels are used with the Zytek body. They look like a sold dish wheel.
thanks
