Guys,
Looking at USGT and looking for a great handling body. Here are the HPI bodies I am looking at, any input would help both positive and negative
Nissan 350z
Subaru Impreza
Nissan Skyline
Nissan Silvia
BMW M3
Mazda RX7
Nissan 350z Nismo
Thanks

Good
Nissan 350z, Nissan 350z Nismo and Mazda RX7---all work well 99% of the time
Ok
Nissan Skyline, Nissan Silvia and BMW M3---all are sort of odd feeling you can get them to work but the above "good" bodies are easier to work with IMO.
Bad
Subaru Impreza---Too Tall feels really "tippy"

I would rate them this way....

My buddy uses the 599 body. Seems to handle pretty well with an HPI wing mounted on it. Without the wing, not so good.
That paint job looks badass Jamison! Very nice.
An illegal one Looks to be a large lexan TC wing with the wingmounts from an HPI wing kit. I'm just giving 5tylez a hard time, but technically if using a lexan wing, it's supposed to be much smaller than that. Locally for club racing, I doubt anyone really cares.

For the most part the Tamiya shells are molded thinner and more accurately compared to the HPI, and I will go with saying that many of them are better looking than the HPI equivalent in instances where there is one, but have no experience that says Tamiya shells are more durable than HPI shells.

No.
Tamiya bodies are 1mm thick compared to HPI which are molded from .76mm lexan. Hold one of each at the same time, it will be painfully obvious which is thicker.
