I picked up a set of titanium turnbuckles for my TC3, and I would like to install them. But, how on earth do I remove the ball cups from the balls on the car? Do I pry them off? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

They just unscrew off the ends of the tunrbuckle. What I would actually do is to pick up a set of RPM ones, that way if something happens you have a replacement (the old one) ready that you can just snap back on with about the same length and geometry

So i leave the ball cups attached to the car and just remove the turnbuckle?

The ball cups pop off. I use a pair of needle nose pliers to twist them and pop them off.

Then as Gary said you twist them off the old turnbuckles and twist them on to the new Ti ones.

I don't mean to offend but I am curious...how old are you Galactik?

You could, but it will be easier if you remove them, they just pop off the ball stud. Take the whole turnbuckle off, measure it with a caliper or something that way you can install the new one on the car and it will be roughtly the same length

I just built the TC3 2 months ago. I know how to change the turnbuckles, that is easy.

I just was curious the best way to get the ball cups to pop off without damaging them. I already took 2 off with pliers, but like I said, I didnt wanna risk damaging them.

Sorry if it sounded like I didnt know how to actually change the old turnbuckle screw with the new ones.

Just the ball cups attached to the ball joints, I didnt wanna damage them.

Grab them with pliers and twist them off. They're plastic, the worse you can do is scratch them up a bit.

They can stretch out a bit too, that's another reason why I suggested going with new ball cups on the Ti Turnbuckles.

I use the "spanner" that comes with the TC3, the larger end is a good fit, wedge it between the cup and the part and lift

I am gonna go pick up some new motors today for a race coming up, so I am gonna grab a few extra ball cups just in case.

Having extra ball cups can't hurt, as you'll need them at some point.

You might want to consider buying a set of extra front arms as well.

Use a pair of wire cutters the ones that have an angle to them not strippers, and remove the ball cup on the shock tower first just slide it inbetween the cup and the ballstud hold it very gently then give it a quick snap, then just carefully lift the other form the steering nuckle they pull out very easily.

Use the stock ball cups. While they are more prone to breaking than RPM, the thickness and tightness of the RPM ballcups causes binding of the suspension. They are a little too tight and too thick for a smooth operating suspension.
