I bought my life packs here

http://www.rctech.net/forum/nitro-of...v-battery.html

fast service and the pack rocks..I believe he does two sizes of the stick pack..not sure if it will fit a losi or not..but I remember reading on the thread about some size requests..just don't remember if it was for losi or not..
and +1 on the charging..lipo setting will kill them eventually..you need LiFe or A123 (which is just the brand name of the original company that started selling LiFe..)

Cobra r/c has the follwing packs for rx lifep04 packs

losi ,nanda,mp9,rc8 rc8t,rc8b,hong nor. hump 1350mah equivelant to a 1950mah nimh

Xray,Mugen ,hobao etc stick pack 1350mah equivelant to a 1950mah nimh

D8 1100mah equivelant to a 1600mah nimh hump available mid jan

you might ask questions about the equivelant statement its all about the discharge rating as it is controlled by the grid and the way the grib is manufactured not like a car battery that is an uncontrolled current device .The grid is designed to limit the current flow on discharge to the servos demand not more this way giving you a longer run time .

I hope this information helps you .

please send us an email to [email protected] as we ship these batteries worldwide .

nope, charger is right, battery is wrong. its a lipo with a 6.6v 1700mah sticker on it. in life mode it would go into over voltage protection and fail the battery check. in lipo mode it reads 8.4v and full... great, 2 months now to swap it out...i contacted rcmall on ebay now to see if they will replace it... its the: Intellect Life 6.6V 1700mAh Hump Pack Rx

Ive said it from the beginning that the sizes needed for the buggy's and on road cars rx packs maximum capacity will not go over 1350-1400mah for the lifep04 chemistry .

Any battery that is over that is either a large in size or is a lipo .

this is the same pack i am having the issues with, purchased from ebay

http://www.rc-toro.com/product_info....oducts_id/1665 , so same dimensions and capacity = not a lipo?

i emailed both stores to let them know of the problem and to double check the voltage.. guess i'll just still be running lipos then... just gotta find the regulator again.

hmmmm I just bought a TX battery from exactly the same line of batteries..haven't measured the output voltage yet but my hyperion charger charged it on the A123 (LiFe ) setting and the final voltage on charge was just over 11v whereas my 3cell lipo's for my heli hit 12.6v on full charge..As the standard NiMh for my 3pk read 12v charged and around 11.1v for the first few minutes in the handset I don't think I'm going to worry about it too much.

here's the link..looks exactly the same as the RX battery from the packaging.

cool, i got a response today from rc-mall. they asked for a pic of battery full on charger with voltage readings. should be here quicker now.

since all the negatives from the other batteries do not carry over into life hump packs, how long will a pack last properly cushioned inside a 1/8 scale truggy or buggy, 1 season? 5? what can go wrong besides wire wear or case wear?

You should be able to get at least 1 season out of them.

Here is a link to the Hyperion LiFe battery specs. Check out the size of the 1700mah I do not know but it might fit in the Losi.
