Very pretty car James. Do oval guys still run open mod or is it nothing but spec motors now? Open mod 120x60 foot carpet oval, now THAT would be epic even on just one cell, two cells the speeds would be best measured in mach numbers...

Oh yes. I will be running Open Mod. By far the best class there is! The car in the pics will be my 10.5 car which is an after thought compared to the other 2 I'm focusing on for Open mod. Having more power than you need is so nice as it removes so many variables. Long live Open Mod! Couple years back, they put a radar gun on the Snowbirds 7.5 cars and they were hitting 80 MPH. I would bet that the Open Mod cars are pushing around 90 MPH. 7.5 is relatively tame compared to Open Mod. You can feel the wind coming off the cars if you are spectating in the front row. 3.1 second laps!
