The admins don't care about this thread... I've marked the OP a couple times asking an admin to create a Wiki on the OP.... it's a very simple click of a button but I don't have permissions because I'm not the owner of the thread and the OP (OFNA) has since retired from R/C
Really a shame because this truck is legit!

I actually snagged 1 of the Blue's from Tower yesterday. I have enjoyed running the 10SC for a couple of months and have been wanting to give this guy a try.

This is a known issue and I'm really surprised that HoBao hasn't addressed this, earlier in the thread I posted some tips on how to bend a custom ackermann bar to get equal throw in both directions, I also showed how you can grind the front pivots to get even more throw. After the mods I was able to get the same amount of steering as my EB410 and turned comparable lap times... the 10TT can be made to be extremely competitive.... they just need to hire some pro's who know what they are doing to make a few tweaks to the design... personally I'd rather see them switch to a C-Hub design if I had any influence.
Bill, I'm not sure if you posted the steering mods here or at ultimaterc.com (RIP), but I think it was over there.
It's a fun truck for sure, just needs a steering redesign. I also found the aluminum shock towers and hinge pin braces to be a bit weak, if it were made out of billet aluminum instead of cast that would help a lot. If you're just doing oval with no jumps, it's probably fine.

I wonder about this Ackerman bar? Is this a fix for one of the steering issues? I also wonder if it applies to the recent batch of vehicles. I'd hate to buy it if it isn't needed.

I'll try to dig up the pics I took on the custom (1 of a kind) Ackermann bar that I bent using a DuBro wire bender... it took me quite a few tries before I finally perfected it... lots of funny angles to get around the servo saver and center drive shaft... and man it was totally worth the effort because the car can turn on a dime now, plus same throw on both directions!
***UPDATE... Here's the custom bar:

I just ordered and got mine, did all necessary upgrades, carbon, aluminum, ect. I like it a lot. I have the last parts sitting in a bag, 12mm aluminum wheel hexes. I've scrolled through the forum and may have over looked something but I'd love to know which rims and offset I can use with the different sets of proline and jconcepts tires I have. If it helps, I have the rear cvds...same as front. Looking for dish type, Hobao and Ofna dish rims are harder to come by, I'd like to possibly mount Proline, Jconcepts, or DE if possible. Any help would be great.
thank you

My understanding is that the 10TT wheels/offset are proprietary, I'm not aware of any compatible brand nor aftermarket that makes wheels specifically for the 10TT... you could potentially use Tamiya BFX wheels, but they have significantly more positive offset which can affect performance.
You can contact HoBao and ask to purchase wheels separately, I have also had luck dying my wheels neon yellow too

Original Hyper 10-TT Wheels
If anyone is looking for some Hyper 10-TT wheels, I have two sets of 4, one set still sealed in package, the other set had tires installed but not glued and mounted on a truck (so it has marks from the wheel nuts) but never run. Tires since removed, so not included.
PM if interested.
