Default hpi cup racer...novak brushless

i am about to install the HAVOC 3S/BALLISTIC SPEC BRUSHLESS SYSTEM(13.5)
into my hpi cup racer....my question is should i change the plastic diff cups...or will they hold up with the brushless....i will be running nimh at first until i get used to the handling then switch to a 3s....probably overkill.
now common sense tells me ultimately i will have to switch to metal diff cups...but just curious if anyone has a cup racer if they could help.

I would do the diff cup mod anyway.

I used an additional rear metal diff cup on the front. The problem is the shaft barely fits into the cup now, so be sure to add an O ring to prevent the shaft falling out.

Why do you want to put a 3s in a Cup Racer? Are you just "bashing", drifting, drag racing, what?
