Just saying I'd pitch in if we could get a buggy out of the deal. I write for food and shelter

Just saying it is now March, I seem to recall that a date was expected in the first quarter of this year, so I hope that is still true and will mean that in a matter of weeks we should at least be seeing this buggy at least listed for pre-order with some firm deliver date window.

There's so much work that goes into producing a proper piece, you have no idea.

I understand it takes time to get the kit, manual and setups correct for sale and would prefer to wait a cpl of months so that it's perfect, Torrance has already said there won't be a stock spur gear available at launch, is there plans to have one available soonish after release or is there another option to modify an existing spur from another manufacturer? I would doubt it because of the centre diff option :-(

Well, there's a huge parts availability problem with the 22-4 (no a-arms, etc) so I'd be surprised if there isn't for this car either. Of course we are all hoping parts will be replaced after 100 packs of wear instead of breaking

-I know that from the start... but with a little work... i hope i can see a 2 shorty lipo in there fine! Theres plenty of space for them for sure.... problem is finding a spot for the ESC.... maybe with a small profile servo... esc fits right next and it's a 4s 1/10 buggy! ....
THE 2 shorty lipos fit nice by the look of pics...with no mods whatsoever beside secure the second one. Easy!
Let's see hopes and dreams.... all of you wating to race... and i am waiting for a nice 1/10 speed freak 4s capable buggy :P

2 shortys and u could run 20 min how sheet would that be

I can run 20 minutes with my 22-4. But I'm SLOW.. I like the idea of shorties and 4s!! Speed runs with a custom wedge shaped body would be a blast!
Put the Rx on top of the servo and the ESC behind the servo. Use a low-pro servo to gain even more room.
Sweet idea, let's get this thing OUT.

Can anyone tell me who's been involved in the testing what works better for low-med indoor clay, shorty or saddles, I figures the saddles would be heavier and give more rear grip?

Ok well then 40 min and we can run nitro heat times that would be awsome. Or 4s and make it over the table to table at mikes

hmmm dual shorties huh? i think it would fit. you'd need a second shorty battery tray & strap for the left side (the kit already comes with two pairs of posts). you can then use the battery tray as a template to drill one additional hole on the left side of chassis (needs to be countersunk at the bottom). or you can borrow a buddy's chassis and line them up back to back to transfer the shorty holes to the left.
a low profile servo would probably be needed to make room for the esc, then the receiver can be mounted on the upper deck.
you'd want to wire the batteries in parallel to keep the voltage in the 7.4v range. if you wire them in series like normal saddles.... oh man fasten your seatbelts.
