MD -April 26th - Nuclear R/C 1/8th scale Electric and Slash Classes!
Nuclear R/C (www.nuclear-rc.com) has its first race of the season on April 26th. We've been working on the track and made some key changes from those shown on the website. The track looks really good and we continue to make changes. Along with 1/8th scale nitro Buggy, Truggy and MT, this season we will be racing 1/8th scale electric "run what you brung" and spec slash. The club has also decided to permit any group of 3 or more to form their own class on any race day. So you die hard 1/10th offroad guys feel free to come on out and create your own class!
The rules for Slash: We are running the, at this point, fairly universal spec class rules used at most tracks. Basically every thing must be stock (besides body and alum shock caps) and 2s Lipo permitted. This is meant to just be a fun class so no cheaters. Any questions feel free to ask.
The rules for 1/8th scale electric: any 1/8th scale buggy, MT, truggy may race. No further rules (for now!).

Thanx R....do you race here at all?

Unfortunately, at NRC you cannot use stock AM or FM 27 mhz radios due to a potential conflict with a neighboring R/C airfield. This along with all other rules of the track can be found on the website that I posted in my initial post. Just for our good friend "ultegrasti" - here it is http://www.nuclear-rc.com/rules.htm

I'll be there with my e 8ight and E 8t. Might even bring my b44 up to see how it handles. Thanks for the post.

is the track going to be shorter for the 1/10 scale ? slash class and 1/10 scale rigs ?

We cut out the big table top for the slashes (still more than enough track - it is a HUGE track) and we'll let the 1/10th electric army that I keep hearing about in this area decided what they want to do if they show up.
The track is really open to all suggestions, comments, etc as basically we just want to make this track as good and as open to all as possible. It really should be an AWESOME season.

I'm hoping to post a video from a lap driven during the work day. There's still a few more surprises we want to build in before opening day, but it should give people a good idea what the track is like.
