Default Nitro Engine Temp Question

I know this is a very stupid question.

When I'm checking the temp of the engine, where is the best spot to check? Point down at the glow plug in the head? I find I can get 50* of temp difference in different places.

Thanks

Point your thermometer down at the glow plug area.

yes point it down at the glow plug in the head. You might want to check the temp gun as well because it can be off as well depending on what type you have. One of the best out on the market is the Exergen DX501 Infra Red Temperature Gun. Its 259.99 on amain and if you want if you go to the track and some that has one prob will let you temp your motor and see how close yours is or how far off it is.

the Sensor is the EYE of the gun...if its dusty and dirty it WILL give you false readings....i make sure to have a Brand new clean paint brush specifically for cleaning my guns.
