dtm: are there aftermarket parts for V1R or MTX2 like fivestar, k-factory, kahawara and eagle in HK? After reading this thread, I find out that the V1RR is very popular in HK, how about Mugen MTX2? Are they popular in HK too? Will be going to HK next month and get some parts or maybe buy a new kit. What is the price of the V1RR and V1R in HK, here in S'pore the V1RR is around $5xx plus and V1R is $430. And lastly, what is some of the most popular brand of fuel used in HK, do ppl in HK mixed their own fuel to use? Thanks for the info.

All are Japanese...but they could be made in Taiwan!!?? Local brands are 3 Racing (not bad for price) and GPM (avoid at all cost!!)

There are plenty of MTX options in HK too...but even more for V1!

You can only buy RR....I think street price is around HK$17xx...but I haven't checked for a while.

Odonnell and Tornado...but you won't be able to get these on te plane!! Why mix when you can buy!!

dtm:
do you know where i could get an AE NTC3 anywhere in HKG? I found out that worldmodel ( distributor.... are they? ) is out of stock at the moment, does this mean that no other shop would have these kits in stock. Any idea how much they go for over there?

Try the shops in Mong Kok: Dundas Street/ Kwong Wah Street.

Somewhere like Harmony Models should have one...plenty of model shops there, just wonder around I'm sure you will be able to find one!
